Cracked open the last of my bottles of '13 OFBB (and I suspect the last bottles of OFBB that I will find just sitting on a shelf). Still a great nose, and an all-around solid bourbon.

Went with EC18 (barrel on 6-1-83), 4RSB, and finished SAOS Bourbon. All are lovely pours in their own right.

Still enjoying a bottle of WTRB and getting close to the end when the cork broke last night. Since I had taken a members advice for what to do after this happened the first time I was prepared and did slow down a beat.

My first ever pour of Ezra Brooks Single barrel 12 yr. Meh. Didn't really seem like 99 proof .I'll give it another try tonite. Followed that with my first pour of Weller's 12 yr. Now that is some good stuff there! Wish it wasn't so hard to find.

the allergies/cold broke enough today that i can taste things again. So, I opened up the JB rye 90 proofer and took a sip. hmmmm, seemed a lot like the HH6/90 i had last night, with a tiny hint of the rye on the finish. Out of curiosity, I grabbed the HH and did a side by side. still, surprisingly similar, with only a slight finish difference. I imagine it's a 51% rye, as it seemed very bourbon-y to me. still, well worth the price.

Decided to crack open the EHT small batch and single barrel. Unfortunately, not enjoying this. I am getting the same bitterness in the finish that I get with ETL.

Can't end the night like this. I think I need a healthy pour of SAOS7.

Since I'm watching Esquire's Best Bars in America and they're at Four Roses, I'm treating myself to some of my favorite. OBSK

Had a Rye to start but cracked open my new OGD114 and now I see why it gets mentioned so often. Very nice, even neat, and so affordable. Really glad my corner store ordered me 3 bottles of it. :D

Just noticed it's a bit higher calorie count than most of the bourbon I normally drink according to myfitnesspal, so guess I will have to ride my bike a couple extra miles tomorrow. :/

Having another pour of Rock Hill Farms and am really enjoying this. It's my first bottle, but assuming I can find it with some moderate regularity around here, it'll be the first of quite a few.

fozzy we all know that OGD 114 is spooty old guy stuff that none of the cool kids drink so let's us just keep it a quiet conversation among gentlemen shall we. Wouldn't want to divert attention away from their interest in flavored vodkas now would we.

The calories are directly related to the proof (bourbon has no other additives which can contribute calories/carbs). I use MFP as well, and created my own "foods" just at fairly common proof levels (80, 86, 92, 100, 107, 114, etc). Any 1oz pour of 90 proof bourbon will be 72 calories, compared to 92 calories for a 1oz of 114 proof. But they are worth the extra miles ;)

Did a fun and delicious SBS with 4R GS OESO and GBS OESO close in age, same warehouse, similar location and yup they taste very similar.

Followed with an OESQ since that yeast has been mothballed for the time being at least in terms of availability beyond YL and perhaps SmB LEs of the future.

Just got home and opened the bottle of FC I picked up at lunch today. Been having a rotten week and needed something that bites back. Different bourbons for different moods! I don't think any other distilled spirit can offer that! Cheers!

A nice pour or two of Buffalo Trace tonight. This bottle is getting close to the end.

Some OFBB '13 and '14 - both are coming off strange to me, so stepping back for the rest of the night.

WSR Binnys pick. Getting to the end of the bottle will be sad to see it go as its my one and only. Wish I would have bought a few of them

Finishing up a day off with a nice pour of FR OESK (Crown). OBSK/OESK are just in my wheelhouse. I am at the end of the bottle so I will need to see if I can pick up another from the same barrel. However, I am not sure I have met an OESK that I didn't like.

Also, I had a taste of a SAOS 9-yr 98.6 proof that I bought today. As with every Smooth Ambler product that I have tried, it is very good!
