Purchased bottle of CEHTBP today online through a Pennsylvania store. Retail plus shipping, so I'm excited. Sold out of their 240 bottles in 30 minutes.

Some fire in this one but so good with a few drops of water.

I really need to try one of these when I find it at proper state min pricing.

VOB BIB on sale @ $11. At checkout, the clerk asked if I'd seen their 4R Pvt Select @ $60. OBSO 11.5 yrs 55.7%. Don't know when I'm going to drink ALL this, but I couldn't pass THEM up.

Picked up a High West American Prairie. I already had the American Prairie Reserve and the Bourye, but this is the first time I've seen the regular American Prairie in VA.

Sometimes one just get's lucky... EH Taylor Cured Oak was $72.99 and the EC Barrel Proof was $52.99, neither one I have ever seen in a store in my neck of the woods.

It was at a Bottle King in Morris County. There was one left on the shelf so I had to take it.

Two PS 4R OBSK from Packages & More (Eric-Elizabethtown, Ky). plus two SAOS 8 yr cask strength rye.

Great I always stop there on my way to Western KY from Lexington. I picked up the OESV before and liked it. How was the OBSK and how would you rate it against the OESV Eric selected? What were the prices now on the PS and the SAOS?

Stopped at South Lyndale Liquors in Minneapolis and picked up 2 bottles of Springbank Sherrywood 17 year old, 1 bottle of Stagg Jr. batch 4 (4 left at the store, FYI), and 1 bottle of Jeffersons store selection (it was $24 and tasted good---light summer sipper). To those in Minnesota, this is a great store, and probably have 100+ bottles open to sample. Ranging from Springbank Green, Laphroiag 18, their 12 year 2 month OESO FRSB barrel strength, on and on.

Small potatoes...but grabbed a couple of KC minis for a overnight, cross-country flight this weekend. I should order a bunch of empty minis for myself. OLCC doesn't stock a lot of variety of 50ml's. Needed something other than the Jim & Jack that the airline offers.

I really like the OBSK, as I like the higher rye recipes in general from 4R. I have had the OESV as well and believe I prefer the OBSK, although everyone's taste is of course different. Prices for the 4R PS OBSK was 49.95, ditto for the SAOS 8 yr cask strength rye. Eric had good inventory of each when I was there a few days ago.

Is that rare in Ohio? I've never had trouble finding it here.

Pretty much everything is rare in Ohio. Typically the only Buffalo Trace items we have is Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, Blantons, Ancient Age, and Benchmark.

HW Bourye

Private Select SAOS SB Rye BP x2

Private Select SAOS SB 8YR BP

I tried samples of both SAOS and they are excellent especially the rye.
