TheBeerdedGuy
I recently picked up a Heaven Hill bottle from the bottom shelf for $8.99. I wasn't expecting much, but this juice is delicious. I will definitely be buying more.
ccleve23
Starting off with a pour of 4RSB OESK. This is the 4th of my liquor store's 4R barrel select and by far my favorite. Something about warehouse no. ME.
MOwhisky4me
...In the waste basket next to me is a partial bottle of John J. Bowman SB - the 100 proof offered by A. Smith Bowman.... My glass is at hand. It's a good afternoon so far.I'm hoping the waste basket is simply a convenient "hiding place" for that partial bottle of John J. Bowman... Keep toying with the idea of picking up a bottle the next time I see it, but at $50-ish a fifth I'd like to think it's not destined for the trash can by the midway point of consumption! fozzy71
Cracked open my lonely OFSIG from the bunker for something different I haven't had in a while. I was also severely lacking in vatting bottles with painters tape and marker on them in my cabinet so I mixed a half pint of 05 EWSB and OGD114, cuz everything is better with some 114 mixed in. He subscribes to the "always have a bottle of bourbon within arms reach" theory, and in the waste basket by his chair is within arms reach. flahute
After a day kicking around Whistler Village and going up the gondola to the upper mountain, I'm back down at the house getting ready for dinner with a beautiful pour of Parker's Heritage POH. It has such an old timer nose that reminds me of my uncle's house in the early 70's - that smell I remember when he opened his whiskey bottle. flahute
Went to one of the nicer restaurants in Whistler and checked the whiskey menu not expecting much but was surprised to see Sazerac 18 on the menu for $22.50. At the current exchange rate, that's about $18 US so that was an easy choice. Back at the house with some 4RSB.
dcbt
Headed back up to Vancouver today. I never check a bag but actually thought about it this time so that I could bring a bottle.
KySalesRep
I started the day having some OF prime and OF BIB from the early 1980's (given to me by a very generous SB'er) and now I'm having a sample of WT BD 12yr from 1980. All are excellent pours!! Edited September 7, 2015 by KySalesRep Spelling
OldDrinker1978
Wild Turkey 12 Year Old. Incredible stuff. Did a side by side tasting with an older 8 year old and posted my results in the Tasting Section of the forum.
Fort Knox
Didn't post it at the time, but while we were in Louisville, the wife and I had dinner at Bourbons Bistro and I've gotta say....it was one of the best meals I've had in a LONG time! While there, I had my first tastes of OF Birthday Bourbon and Blade & Bow. The OFBB was out of this world!!! The nose on it is incredible. The Blade & Bow was very good as well, but I did them out of order. Should have saved the OFBB for last, because everything that followed it was probably somewhat paled by comparison. For this evening....not sure. Thinking about starting out with some SB Blend, or maybe some of the FR OBSV that I picked up in Louisville.
El Vino
CEHT Barrel Proof 134.5 proof. Man this is good whiskey! I bought several on release, finished one quickly, and just opened a second to share with a new bourbon loving friend. I forgot just how good this is. Haven't had any of the subsequent releases. Just a great nose/palate of vanilla, sweet barrel flavors and cherry. Great balance and holds up to an ice cube on a 90 degree day. Dynamite way to finish the long Labor Day weekend. Cheers all! Fort Knox
Very envious! The couple of pours of CEHTBP I have had have been unbelievable. I just can't find it anywhere!I went with FRSB OBSV to start and then switched to the Barrel Proof OESQ. Both are outstanding, but I think the extra flavor punch of the BP is treating me right! Might have to go with something different next though. So many choices....24 open bottles may be too many.

That's the reason I have had any of the subsequent releases. It got such great press, that it became impossible to get. At least MMCS is availably pretty broadly and I do like it. Good thing the first game I've been able to see is my team. Next year I really should plan a trip out of the country, 'cause I've obviously not been pacing myself too good 5 days in. Heck, just be glad you have a friend in the business who can get you even the occasional limited. I've been trying to get ahold of one bottle....just one bottle of ECBP for about a year with no luck. I've been looking for CEHTBP as well, though admittedly not as hard, but it's definitely high on the "if I ever see it, I'll buy it" list! Enjoy!Tonight, I followed the OESQ up with a pour of Stagg, Jr. and I'm now finishing the night with some Garrison Bro's. Not because it's "Grand Finale" worthy, but more so because it's one of the few non BP bottles I seem to have open right now, and I have work tomorrow.
