I picked this one up on Fathers Day. Wasn't planning on stopping into the liquor store. I did for the heck of it. Saw it and had to get it. One left on the shelf. $49.99

I've only seen it in one other store since, for $59.99.

I've seen the stagg jr 4s everywhere here. $49.99 and one place for $41.99 for a few days.

Bonded OGD from an orange screwtop bottle I found yesterday in a high volume, excellent liquor store in WashDC. The store is one of my regular stops. I was looking for some more VOB bonded @ $12 on sale. The OGDBIB will do just fine.

I feel your pain Fozzy. I might as well change my username to "Desperately seeking ECBP". I've tried it. I love it. I've never owned a bottle, nor seen one for sale, though I am fairly new to the appreciation of good bourbon. My local ABC store does have some Stagg, Jr., so at least there's that.

SAOS 9 yr Cask Strength for me. In a hotel and just emptied the flask. Its bed time after this one.

Ok, so latech15 inspired me to go for 1 more small pour to end the night. Yep... SAOS 9yr Cask Strength. Cheers!

Finished off a gift ship OBSO last night that will be missed, so many dark candy and floral notes. Damn fine pour

I'm having my first pour of one tonight. Local pick, not a gift shop bottle. Also getting dark candy and floral. So far so good on this one. I imagine it will get better.

We've been on a marathon of watching the Sopranos the last couple of weeks. Started season four last night with WT101 and finished off the evening with KCSB.

Sitting on the patio with a nice breeze, first pleasant evening in months, enjoying a small pour of WTRB to start the weekend.

I. W. Harper NAS. Giving it another try after it initially underwhelmed me. It's still just OK, and I won't buy it again. At $40, it's just not different enough from HH at $14.00 a bottle. Headed for the "mixer" section of the stash after tonight.

And all the while, OGD114 just sits there and smiles.

Having a pour of the new Abraham Bowman (#12, high rye). It's good, with a a nice finish, but a bit one-dimensional. It doesn't have much of a nose and while it's smooth, it doesn't taste as good as I would have hoped for a $70 bottle. I like the John J. Bowman better.

Some Blantons tonight.

I looked at my bottle of Blanton's tonight and almost had a pour. However, I opted to finish the night with a pour of SAOS BP 9 year (98.6 proof). I try to conserve my bottle of Blanton's because I find it a favorite of guests.

did FRSmB, then FRSB... and ok, I like them both, FRSB is still my fav. Trying the new center cut now, and eh, it's still booker's to me, still pretty good stuff, nothing extraordinary above reg booker's.

Even with the fancy names and labels, it's all just Booker's, but that's a pretty good thing to be.

very true, at least they aren't charging a premium for it. costco had it for $45, cheap around these parts for booker's.

Had a pour of Bowman Brothers while cooking some steaks on the grill. Then, I decided to have some Blanton's with my steak, followed by some SB Blend with dessert.

4R small batch. Trying to drink up some bottles I wouldn't buy again and I have a long way to go with this bottle. It seems the overwhelming cumin taste has mellowed somewhat since the last pour I had.

After a second trip back into work last night, stopped on the walk home to have a pour and pick up dessert for he misses. CR Rye at the bar. Nice rye, but nothing much to write home about.

While back at home , a very nice pour of FRSB OESO. Very nice end to the week.
