Did pretty well for the last few weeks for the "season". Very excited that I stocked up on the Old Scout Rye! Did a big semi blind with it along side Ritt, baby saz, Pikesville, 4 Year Willett green wax top, and a 14' THH...The Old Scout was at top easily.

Lost at least half a dozen of BT Limited’s in various ways (cancelled orders, managers stepping in...blah, blah blah) fortunate none the less to get what I did all close to retail

Got some online goodies delivered today. 1Ltr Weller 12, High West Rendezvous Rye Bourbon Barrel finished, and store select Bernheim Wheat Whiskey. Got my SB blend mixing now. I am trying this High West and it super delicious. Happy Friday.

How does the Rendezvous finished in A Bourbon Barrel compare to regular Rendezvous? I got a bottle last week but haven't cracked it yet!

Went to the liquor store with a friend, not intending to buy anything, and saw they were stocked with the FR small batch limited edition for this year. They also had several Elijah Craig BP, but i passed since they were priced at 50. Got the FR for 80 which seemed like a great price because some people have said the MSRP was 109??

Edit: apparently after doing some googles (and checking the hand numbered bottle), there are only 12,672 bottles of this being released.

I thought it was $50 for MSRP for ECBP, but I've only seen it once and it was $55. definitely grabbed it at that price.

It appears the $40 I quoted was from a 2013 article. Looks like $50 is the MSRP this year.

I will have to go back and try the regular but this one definitely has a bit more bourbon qualities to it. I think it is great.

I wouldn't get too hung up about the msrp of ECBP Mr. Tad. $50 is at the bottom end of its current going-rate, if you can find it that is. You have found it, and you should buy it.

It doesn't last long when it shows up. I came across a bottle a couple of weeks ago for the first time in a couple of years.

Oh, and buy up all of the Four Roses limited editions you can find. Haven't seen a bottle in forever.

Picked up a bottle of Stagg Jr. for $59. Have only had it a whiskey tasting, and really like BT and ER10, so thought I'd splurge. Picked up a bottle of ETL for my dad who has a hard time finding it in Michigan. Was at $50, which was $10 higher than it was last year at the same store. I would have passed at that price. The store had the ETL behind the counter out of view so you had to ask if they even got any. They also had OWA behind the counter and out of site. Owner said I could get one or the other, which I thought was another indication of the current bourbon climate. The Stagg Jr. was on the shelf however.
