DonutsNBourbon
picked up an HMBiB to get in on a pappy lottery. Was trying to decide between this and Bowman (SmB or the SB too), ended up going with HMBiB since it's quite the reliable standby.

Nosnum
Those HW private selections sound interesting. I have a Double Rye finished for 23 months in a used bourbon barrel. It was about $60 I think. How much did you pay for yours?I have the Pikesville also and really like it.

gusto16
Friday The 13th wasn't so unlucky after all. Nice going - I should be picking one of those up in a couple days [emoji106]? ...and btw, how did you pour that glass through a sealed bottle top? [emoji1]you saw through my deception. I'm saving the bottle for Christmas or New Years. I used Weller Special Reserve for my prop which by the way is delicious. taddraughn
Just picked up some OGD BiB and some EW BiB for the weekend. MSU is playing Alabama so I might need more whiskey than usual. Definitely not expecting to win this one.edit: Will actually be my first time trying the EW BiB.

RiverRat
Picked up a 4R SiB - not because I needed another bottle, but because $34 was irresistible. Might return for a couple more to give as holiday gifts.

mbroo5880i
Have you tried the rendezvous yet? My local place has one finished in Port barrels for $65Rendezvous Rye? I like it but have never tried a finished bottle. I have seen several retailers with port finished bottles and I know Binny's typically has several different finished versions. It is a smooth rye. I like it better than the Double Rye, which is also good. $65 is a little pricey. The regular version is generally in the mid to upper $40s. I have also seen a few retailers with a higher proof version.
thisoneguy
Glad I popped in at one of my spots today. I have been meaning to swing in for the last two days, but haven't been able to make time. Turns out they saved this for me.
jp_stargazer
I was traveling this weekend and hit up a couple places (some I've been to before, some new). There were some great prices on things but the bunker is bursting so I had to be rational. I bought a bottle of KBD's Pure Kentucky XO for $25. I have a bottle opened now that I enjoy and I thought it was at a decent price for a sourced 107 proofer. I also stopped at a place that some northern IL SB members had mentioned in another thread and found a store pick of ER10 with the older label (10 on neck band AND small front paper label) in 375 mL bottles for $20. A little more than normal $/L for ER10 but this looks to be a selection from 2011 (if I interpreted the date code correctly). I excitedly mentioned this to my wife who commented, with love, "I'm sure it will taste so much different than what you have now..." Non-bourbon purchases: Jameson Caskmates for $26 and Stone Double Bastard in the Rye (rye barrel finished Double Bastard). Jason

Jason Jason, Looks like you did very well on your purchases and on showing restraint. Good job. That is a good price for Pure Kentucky and Caskmates is a good pour for $26/bottle. I never thought I'd say this, but I now have almost as many OWA's as Weller 12's. What can I say? Tastes change.Cheers! Joe
gburger
I got a gift of Booker's a couple of weeks ago. 2015-1 with Booker on it. Then I said, oh what the crap, and began searching for #2 with Dot on it, then the center cut and oven buster. I did end up getting all of them. I see tht there is another one that just came out. Waiting for it to find it's way to Texas.
