elmossle
I guess since it is officially Summer, I should post this here. Managed to find a bit of a dusty while out and about for work today. Found a bottle of WTKS that was bottled back in 2008. I paid a little more than I would have liked for a bottle of WTKS at $49, but for juice that is older like that, it wasn't but $5 or $6 dollars more than I have been seeing recent WTKS bottles. It will be interesting to see what it tastes like once I open it. If it tastes anything like the bottle of regular BT I finished off a few weeks back, I will be very happy with the purchase. Hmmmm, just curious; but, why would compare Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit (Incidentally, @$49, a decent price in my area) with Buffalo Trace? On the face of it, supposing it may be like WTKS seems to be a strange expectation.... Can you explain your rationale?

kcgumbohead
Just back from the road with OGD 114, (cause the open one is draining fast) OGD Bib (for a SBS with 114) and 4RSB. Happy summer!!
Prof_Stack
Drove to a small liquor store outside of Seattle that still has EC12. Sure, it cost more than at Total Wine or Bevmo, but all they have is EC-NAS.

Yeah I left off one small, but important, information with that reference last night. What I meant to say was, 'If it tastes anything like the regular bottle of '08 BT I just finished, I will be very happy with the purchase. Sorry for leaving out a key piece of the puzzle. I'm still not sure why you would expect '08 Turkey to taste like '08 BT. What am I missing?

Carter
ECBP 138.8 proof. Had to pay $80 which is higher than the $55 I used to pay, but I love this bourbon and given the current state of things, $80 for a 12YR BP bourbon does not seem all that crazy now. Baby Saz SAOSSB 10YR I think it was a 98 proof I am new to commenting on this site so I apologize if my abbreviations are off.

Tennessee Dave
These were picked up in a trade. I had always missed out on the PHC releases and of all of them this was the one I wanted to try. Good day for me.
fishnbowljoe
I just can't help myself. I stopped at one of my favorite stores on the way home from the family cookout/pool party Sunday. They had some Stagg Jr on the shelf. I couldn't remember which batch was which, so I came home empty handed. I checked the Stagg Jr thread here, and while out and about again today, I went back and grabbed myself a couple more Batch #3's. What can I say? My total haul for today: two Batch #3 Stagg Jr's, new light bulbs for our ceiling fans, and 15 patio blocks. Cheers! Joe
Ozark
McKenna SB 10 year BIB and ER10 today. So far I've reached my bunker goal for ER10, EC12, OGD114, EWBIB and MM46.

Interesting, I also managed to pick up ECBP 138.8 and happened upon a baby saz when I was in the store. I asked them if they got the baby saz in regularly, the assistants said that they think it is a new whiskey and they only received one bottle! Needless to say I took it off their hands. I got those two and an OWA at around MSRP. I guess Florida got a recent shipment of some of the more hard to find bottles.

As to the light bulbs, I can understand wanting enough light to guarantee no spillage when pouring......... But, I'm just not entirely clear on the use of those patio blocks. Well I haven't tried the RHF yet lol. Been on the lookout for a while. Came across this bottle on my travels. It was the only one they had, so me being the gentleman I am, I decided to patronize them & take it off their hands.

Obeezy1Kaneezy
I did buy two bottles of OGD 114 today. A buddy wanted me to him pick up one since it's not something found regularly in Bama. I decided to pick me up one too, since they were $22 a bottle. I text him a bit later telling him I grabbed him one, he then asks if I'm still there to pick him up two. So I guess he gets both lol. I still have half a bottle at home, so no biggie. Edited June 23, 2016 by Obeezy1Kaneezy

I think Florida gets a good chunk of the bourbon allocation from BT. I usually only find OWA and baby Saz at the ABC stores. Up until this recent year I could pick up WL12YR at msrp on a whim. That no longer happens. Edited June 23, 2016 by Carter

Charlutz
Thanks to a forum member who tipped me, I grabbed three bottles of OWA store select single barrel at $30 apiece. Looking forward to finishing the last few pours in my open OWA so I can crack one of these.
Jacket
One of my local stores emailed me with a bottle of Elijah Craig 18 that came in. Seems as though there are still 1997 barrelings around the warehouses that are still leaking out. Reviews have been mixed on these recent EC 18 bottles but I went ahead and brought it home anyway.
