This past weekend I finally got my GTS 2014 from my brother who had bought it for me way back then but then decided to keep it. He finally broke down around the camp fire and sold it to me for $90. I proceeded to open it immediately and pour both of us a generous pour. He also has Ec21, FR SmB Le 2014, and a lot B that may be coming my way in the future.

Made it back to Market Square Liquors in Tallahassee.  Best bourbon selection in the state.  I dont know how Jim is getting so many barrel picks, but Im glad he is.  They mixed 10 BT barrells and called it "The Herd".  Spectacular stuff, and I favor HH products.

Herd = 6 liters

AAA10*= 1.75

HMc10BIB= 0.75

They go to Kentucky next week for more barrel picks.  Ill be headed back in about 3 months when they get those in.

Which one?  I went to one in Tally a few weeks ago, & there wasn't much there.  I ended up picking up a bottle of 4RSiB OESO at the ABC on Thomasville Rd.

Went to one of my old haunts in Minneapolis to get my yearly supply of EWBIB. The first year it was 19.99 per 1.75, the next year it was 22.99, and now yesterday it was 27.99. The pain!  Oh well, looks like we all will be paying more as we move forward in this great hobby. I have to realize that it is still a fair price for a wonderful bourbon. But it was even more wonderful at 19.99! :)

I only like it neat, or  with a splash of water,  or with ice, or in mixed drinks, or consumed on days that end in "y."

Is good yesterday or today, but don't bother buying it tomorrow.

I had been on a bit of a buying hiatus for a while since I've been mostly drinking old standbys. Broke the hiatus last weekend and continued today. I picked up a Dickel 9 year and a Four Roses OBSO (11 year/55%).

I'm seeing pictures online the EWSB 2008 is now on shelves, bottled at 8 years and 1 month. Has anyone seen this for themselves?

After looking at, and passing on, a bottle of Barrell Bourbon Batch 5; I finally caved and bought the damn thing and added it to the collection. I have heard really good things about this batch and can't wait to give it a try. However, I will need to get rid of what I think is a sinus infection first to really enjoy it. Stinking health issues getting in the way of tasting/consuming quality booze just isn't right.

I grabbed one of these as well, a little pricier at $44 for me though.

1792 Sweet Wheat has landed in NJ for the first time as far as I know. I couldn't quite pull the trigger upon first sighting at $49.99, but bought a couple at another store for $38.99. I know, probably still overpriced for what it is, but I did want the Sweet Wheat in my bar. Looking forward to giving it a go.

Huh, just stocked up on a couple more ETLs for the bunker @ $22.99 ea. and one more OWA for $21.99 OTD yesterday.  Guess I'd rather be lucky than good, eh?   :D

Now if I could only find a bottle of W12 . . . . . . . .   :ph34r:

Found 2 EWSB 2005 for $25 and a WSR for $14.

Getting a little outta hand.   Snagged an OWA, WSR & McKenna 10.   Need willpower.   Passed on an Elliott's Select at $139.  Wallet wasn't complying.

I hear ya, stopped today to get a EWSB 2007 to share with my Brother this weekend.  All the WTRB talk got me thinking, so I snagged one of those also.  Then stopped by another shop on the way home I have never been to, they had 3 ECBPs there, I snagged one (as this batch that is out now I think is incredible) and left two, Ill add the one to the Bunker with a couple others. . . . . Ugh, I need to water the Money Tree. . . maybe I can do it with some bourbon, Lord knows I have enough!
