Getting to the point where I have to think about these now a days. $60 list price, but after our insane WA state taxes, $75 out the door. Still a good deal compared to all the other overpriced bourbons here that get the same tax structure applied.
taddraughn
Picked up some Willett 3 year Small batch rye and just tried it. Really liking this for such a young rye, and think a couple more years in the wood will make this juice even better. Although I will say 50 bucks is pretty damn expensive for something this young
DPPSmoker
I visited the Four Roses distillery the day after my recent visit to their bottling and warehousing facility. I picked up one more of those OBSK bottles and I picked up an OBSV bottle as well. Also, the Single Barrel bottle that they served after the distillery tour was so damn good that I picked up one of those bottles in the gift shop as well. IowaJeff
I picked up a couple of ER10s and a Booker's. I hope the ER10s are better than the BT Single Barrels I got a couple of weeks ago. The more I drink it, the more I think the cork on the BT is tainted. The cork itself has a musty, earthy smell and the bourbon has a similar note with a bad aftertaste. I let it breath for awhile and replaced the cork and it was drinkable, but still had the musty/earthy aftertaste.

Harry in WashDC
Went to buy some Aperol for spritzers we'll be serving on the 4th and was in such a good mood I decided to pick up the featured offerings - JDSiBBP and the 86+ proof WT Masters Keep. After a full day of yard work, the JD SiB I bought hit the spot even though it is a little over 130 proof. Neat, it is expectedly hot but not overly so. Two oz. with a small ice cube now melted (taking the proof to about 105) tastes like I think it did circa 1968 when I first started drinking JD seriously and regularly - some fruit, a little heat, and really refreshing over a little ice. Haven't opened the WTMK. This was a sentimental buy - my first taste of this was poured by Jimmy Russell. I am sure this bottle will be as good as that first taste was. Masset1982
I scored one 4R SmB LE 2015 today, I paid 150€ for it, not bad, right ?
PappyStagg
Picked these two up today at a new spot about 30 minutes south of my house. Plan is to sample the JB Bonded next to my Old Tub and see if it's the same juice and the KCSB from this barrel is quite good as I've tasted some my buddy got a while back. Masset1982
2015 Michter's 10, it's been a while since i've wanted to get a bottle of this. You'll never see a bottle in a liquor store in Belgium. I found it online in Spain. Hope it's good.

jvd99
Picked up one of each of Binny's new Maker's Mark Private Select barrels, which is the new MM single barrel program. I can say both are really nice. I'm not a big MM46 guy, but from what I can remember, these private selections seem more enjoyable and are both good drinkers at @55%. I like both better that MMCS. The #2 barrel (the other is #6 which I don't get the numbering since there were only 2 barrels), tastes similar to a private selection FR OESV. The recipes are too much info than I'm willing to explain, if interested, Binny's blog has a detailed entry on how they put these barrels together with the various finishing staves. Price was $77 incl. tax, which is a bit spendy. I'm not sure I'll buy any more of these at that price, but maybe. When my local gets his, it will be @10% less and I'll probably go that direction in the future, I just couldn't wait.

I wasn't able to analyze it throroughly, but it had an initial heavy vanilla taste to it to me. we also drank out of red solo cups so that didn't help us taste it properly! Harry in WashDC
Restocking today - in addition to several bags of top soil and potting soil to repair swampy spots in the yard, I picked up multiples of OGD bonded and JB bonded just in case the moat returns before I get the dirt down and I'm trapped inside. Hop
Not sure if I posted this or not but picked up a store select of 1792 and a 4R OESV from the same store as well as a family size ER10, then today ran into a Booker's Rye and 1792 Sweet Wheat so I picked up those as well

I am drinking that one right now- it is, unfortunately, at the bottom of the 4R BP's that I have had. Luckily, it has improved from a few weeks of air time, and it *is* still 4R after all! I got lucky up here in Durham to find a Booker's Rye, within a half an hour of it getting off the truck ( I was told by the clerk) The state website showed that all of NC got 23 six bottles cases total. That's not much, and we each got one! The Sweet Wheat is good, nice and mild but good enough to drink neat. It came and went quickly up here, but it was recently, not the first release time-frame. The Full Proof has been around for a few weeks, surprisingly. Edited July 7, 2016 by DeltaAlphaVictorEasy
