Journeyman
Having my first pour of BT. I bought a bottle for mixing purposes but am enjoying it on its own. Definitely a keeper.
Charlutz
I celebrated my 50th birthday (plus a day) today with my best bourbon buddy. We went solidly into my best stuff. In order: FRLESmB 2015 EC18 2015 WLW 2016 ORVW 2016 OWA SiB The OWA held its own with the ORVW, but that 10 year was superior and very special. It was a good night. Definitely a keeper. Same here. I bought a few bottles of the BT select barrel my local liquor store just got in and I'm surprised at just how much I'm enjoying it. I know it's BT distillate and it is very reminiscent of BT juice but it's still great in its own right. Cheers all! It may be BT distillate (because Saz/BT owns A.Smith Bowman Distillery in Fredercksburg, VA), but ASB redistills the new make it receives from BT and ages it onsite. The tour is wonderful (great smells, small footprint so it's easy to get around). Their website has some photos of what you see on the tour. Disclosure: I have no professional interest in Saz, BT, or ASB, but I have been drinking ASB products since 1971. Here's the link, and have a good time browsing. http://www.asmithbowman.com/

Flyfish
Ritt is tasting pretty good today while watching the Browns go 0-12. Mrs. F says it is good for either of the two Cs--celebration or consolation.
El Vino
And another one bites the dust... EC12 SB Store Pick. Two years open, and I finally get EC12. Too late. Or maybe I needed the wood to fade.., Nonetheless, regret that I did not buy more. Edited November 28, 2016 by El Vino

flahute
Back from a Thanksgiving trip down to Bend, Oregon. While there, it was a lot of WTRB with a smattering of ER10, Blanton's, RYSiB 10yr, and HMcKBIB. A particular highlight was the celebratory pour of Blanton's after the Ohio State victory that I enjoyed in the hot tub - much needed to unwind after a stressful game. The Blanton's was essentially "on ice" since it was about 35 degrees and lightly snowing and I had it sitting off to the side. So perfect. Now at home on the couch watching Sunday Night Football - it's an Old Forester kind of night. Started with the 1897. Generally "meh" for the price but hitting some high notes this evening. Followed with OFBB '14. It's not everyone's cup of tea but it works very well for me. It has just the perfect amount of barrel influence for my palate. I will keep it in the family and finish the evening with some OF barrel proof.

I found that the last EHTSB I had was average to below average tasting the first few pours but improved significantly as I worked through the bottle becoming quite good at the end. Its been open a week or two. It was my 2nd pour I believe. I'll revisit this week and see if anything has changed.
Louisiana
Enjoyed a very good pour of SAOS7. Now letting a private bottling of KC120 air out for about 30 minutes before jumping into it. This KC120 is a real gem. Full of flavor & drinks way below its actual proof.

SAOS7 for me tonight too, but not any KC 120. I have one that's very similar to the one you describe LA, but I'm saving it for down the road. Cheers! $helby
Just finished off a bottle of KC2001 batch 3. Now I can open a bottle of batch 1 or 2 and determine which one fits my palet best.
Jazz Nut
Having a bourbon night after a bit of a break. Starting with Wild Turkey Master's Keep (last pour of the bottle), I think I haven't appreciated it as much as I should have---but the price too high and proof too low. Still good flavor though. And just got a bottle of Old Forester 1920, excited to try it. A large pour is on deck! Happy Monday!

LCWoody
Last night I was doing some invoicing and thought I should have a glass of bourbon, to make sure I was charging enough . My first pour was Stagg Jr. and about sip number 4 it went down the wrong pipe (the one I breath out of)..... After what seemed like 2 min. of not breathing (probably 5 sec.) I took a 5 min. break and put my big boy pants back on and finished the glass, and my invoicing. Also had some OFBB '16.
