Found another single barrel limited 2013 from roses. One open and two for the bunker.

Hi all, new to site been stalking but decided I'd start sharing.

Got the following from Goody Goody a week or so ago.

Got there last bottle of OWA, I think I just hit the tail end of a large shipment that hit town, feel if I was two weeks earlier would of been able to get several more bottles.

Really liked the OWA, hoping I wouldn't since it's hard to find. Mellow Corn was interesting and glad I picked it up. The VOB is easily found around here. Maybe I had a bad bottle but I really didn't like it.

Going to random sketchy liquor stores finally panned out for me.

Was going to ask for more but thought it already looked suspicious. I'm going to be back next week to see if they have more. Not pictured but picked up a bottle of Stagg, Jr for $48 and a fifth of J.W. Dant. They had the only bottle of Blanton's in town at $56 and several bottles of Hancock Reserve around $50.

That's some fine drinking whiskey you picked up. We don't have Barton around here so your statement helps thwart my jealousy

And Welcome!

Anytime I purchase lots of bottles of a find I'm always thinking the same thing. And it seems they are just thrilled to be making a large sale. Congrats. Hope you like the taste of OAK :D

I like OAK. Also to clarify passed on the $56 Blanton's and $50 Hancock but all three Weller 12 came home with me.

After touring Four Roses yesterday, I realized that I needed to replace my recently emptied Four Roses Single Barrel.

It is one of my favorites. It is getting harder to find here in Kentucky. Larceny has some similarities to it, but I actually like the taste of Old Fitzgerald BIB better than Larceny.

As a barton fan,  I oddly enjoy the 86p VOB much better than the 100p BIB VOB.

In your opinion, worth $70?

It's definitely unique and bold. I'd give it a shot.

while small town antiquing with the wife yesterday, saw a sign on the shelf that said their distributor said there was no more VOB BIB available, for now at least. This was S. IN. who knows...

Was in Liquor Warehouse today and picked up

20170305_192011_zpszzt0p1tc.jpeg's

They had about 6 or 7 750 ml bottles of this and the same amount of VOB BIB 6.  The store is located in a shopping center called Central Station, right across the street from Papa John's Cardinal Stadium and Jim Patterson Stadium, for those of you close to Louisville who might be interested in picking up either of these.

Houston, I am so jealous.  I live about an hour from BT and I can't find a bottle of W12 at all.  Let's play bourbon poker.  I'll see your W12 and raise you to Old Fitzgeralds. LOL

I'll be going to a concert in Louisville later this month, so I need to remember this store. Thanks for the heads up.

For some reason I love the style of this old school bottle. I'm weird though, also find bottles like ER10 and FRSB tacky.

I also absolutely love the classic style of the Old Fitzgerald BIB. I hope this label never fades away. It reminds me of my youth, as Mom drank Old Fitzgerald and it basically looks the same to me (although she bought it by pints and half pints). Very Old Barton BIB bottles remind me of my grandma and aunts as I remember seeing VOB on their liquor carts.

They have several EC12 bottles. May go clear some or all of those out this week.
