Like Rich and Patrick, I'm enjoying some Baker's in honor of his birthday today. I've been a Baker's proponent for a couple years now and even I still overlook it.

How do you like the OKI? I've passed on it a few times when I've been in KY. Any details on this bottle would be appreciated.

Sometimes it's pretty good others it's not. I decided I'm glad I tried it but not going back for more. Price wasn't bad at $50 for a ten year old bourbon but compared to HMK10BIB I'd forgo the OKI

Another day in Southeast Asia. Another good sized pour out of this bottle of standard knob creek that I got from the duty free at the airport.

Whenever i'm out of the country for several weeks, I'm always reminded of how truly lucky we are state-side with the availability and selections of bourbons we are spoilt with!

All the talk about Eagle Rare tonight (and Joe's pic!) led me to a pour or two of ER10. I really dig the earthiness of it while still having that freshness. Hard to describe. To me most BT products have a mineral-like freshness to them (from the water?) A few (most notably to me are ER10 and ETL) also have a musty earthiness to them. Reminds me of the smell of a forest floor...in a good way.  I think I'm down to only 2 or 3 ER left in the bunker and passed on some today for $30. I've started seeing it pretty regularly again so I don't really feel the need to stock up.

Enjoyed a pour of ETL. Wish it had a slightly higher proof but I absolutely love this stuff great nose, palate and finish. It's obviously a bit overhyped, but some is well deserved.

Finally had some time to kick back and have a couple of pours. Weller 12  sbs part one.  :P  No real specifics yet, but so far my new bottle/label handle seems to have the edge. Will report back again after some further research.  ;)

Cheers! Joe

Had a healthy pour from a new 4RSiB PS...may have to pick up a few more. Finishing the evening with a healthy pour of WRMC Brandy Cask Finish. I really do like this stuff. I already have a few bottles in the bunker, but I may have to consider adding a few more, especially if I can find some at a discount.

Opened and enjoyed a single barrel select of BT from WB liquors last night. Lots of burnt caramel and a hint of leather with a finish that lasted longer than I remember from the standard version. Glad I picked up an extra!9803ca4f7580ebec50bce08f964ecf03.jpg

Got home tonight, fired up the new blower/digger and fogged the exterior of the house, yard, and trees/shrubs with Talstar P which is a great pest control product and a pretty safe one as well. It killed the heck out of mosquitoes, spiders, crickets, and a multitude of other bugs last time and I just got around the house then.

Back on topic I'm rewarding myself with a 1792FP store pick and a Monte #4.

Having the very last pour of my FRSmB LE 2014. Sadly I still don't see what is so special about this one, drinks like a basic high-proof rye. Not gonna miss this one.

This is a really good one. I enjoyed it more than the previous one I had from Liquor Hut and more than the WB, ER pick.

I dunno.  That looks more like "relaxing night here" instead.  :)

3 good ones.
