Snazzy lighting there, mikeydk.    Really makes the colors of the whiskey as well as the labels POP!

It's an LED 3 step riser.  Has a ton of colors to choose from.  I prefer this version of the lighting as it does make everything stand out, my girl prefers blue, but it washes everything out.  The riser weighs 32 pounds, and it's commercial quality.  Got it for $200 awhile back.

I keep most of my limited's in a dark cabinet, so no picture of that, but I included my home bar that I recently reorganized and stocked.  I don't have duplicates on many of these, (KY owl, M10, and some Willett's being the notable exceptions) because I like having a great variety to display and share (rather than a bunker storage) and it gives me the opportunity to have something for anyone that might be coming over. With the reorganization and restock, note that many bottles pictured are not yet opened, but rest assured, this will change on the daily. :)

As a standing rule, anything on this display is able to be opened on request!  Some limiteds do make it on here from time to time.  Just not this day.

I really like this setup. I think I found it online. I might have to try to convince the wife my bar needs this.

This is awesome! I’ve yet to have any 1792. Didn’t realize they had that many expressions.

Ya know, if asked I would probably be able to name them all, but I didn’t grasp the breadth of the extension of this line until seeing this (Though I think it’s great brand, it does kinda sneak up on you). You’re right, that is awesome!  This brand really has blossomed, and possesses everything one might look for in a bourbon:  Value.  Variety.  Quality.  A (near) Barrel Proof option.  Great visuals (I think the packaging is 5-Star great).  Availability.  Private Barrel Selections.  You name it, 1792 has it.  Whoever is the manager of this brand should get a huge raise.  A great success over the past several years.

Well this seals it: I’m going to have to pick one of them up on my LS trip tonight!

GTS and WLW both opened and both from 2017 and both DELICIOUS! The ORVW from 2017 is pretty special as well... Haven't opened the ER17, or the Lot B yet. This was my first year of getting much consideration for LE's and it was a windfall! Last year the only LE's I was able to get were PVW 23, THH, and EC18.

Thanks.

No, I have not.  Good idea though.

I will be doing a 2014-15-16-17 LE and regular shelf stock SmB  sbsbsbsbs....etc.  eventually. :)

Very well said.  I couldn't agree more.

Confession:  I always get two of each 1792 because its my favorite bottle aesthetically.  One gets opened and the other goes into storage for..... ???.....umm...???......  I have no idea.  I just really like how the bottles look.  I even saved one of the old style bottles with the cloth neck band and 8year age statement.

The bottling looks pretty great indeed. The whole collection looks even better ;-))

How do you rank them? Interested to know where port finish and 225th rank.

picking nits here, but they don't have a barrel proofer.  The Full Proof is high at 125 but it's not a barrel proof offering.I don't know what else they have in the pipeline with the TTB, but I wouldn't be surprised if a true barrel proof offering was on the way.

Never thought about it.

I would say they are all their own animals and each is somewhat different than the other.

Ranking would depend on your mood and palate at time of consumption.

-Port is great if you're in the mood for finished whiskey & like the 1792 profile with the fruit of the wine.

-225th is a banana bomb!  Think banana taffy taffy.  It's nothing special and I have to be in the right mood to reach for it.

-Bottled in bond is really nice.  And regular old Small Batch is always a top choice for me when drinking at a bar.

Of course, you are correct, Joe.  Sloppy on my part.  Edited it to a more appropriate description.  I wouldn’t be surprised either, if a true BP shows up some time.

And more importantly your larger point was right that whoever was behind this did a great job in elevating the brand with a pretty diverse product lineup over the span of 1.5-2 years (trying to think about the gap in release between the Sweet Wheat and the Bottled in Bond).
