I’m routing for Oklahoma.

It’s in the 30s walked down the street to the grocery store to get some eggs.

Definitely felt like some barrel proof WP10yr rye after that walk.

Moving from RHF to my OGD BIB.  You think the over/under on this game is 100?

I laughed when I saw it was 61. OU is guaranteed to get theirs.

I’ll eventually come across a RHF. I’d like to try that sbs with EHT SiB. I have a bottle of that, which is currently one of my favorite pours.

Looks like it should have been set at 90. If it goes into overtime, 110.

Had a good friend (since 5th grade) stop by for dinner.

After the dust settled, the lineup was basically as follows, with the details being a little fuzzy.  Dinner was homemade red beans & rice + cornbread.  What a great New Year's.

:)

Drinking away the Sooner sorrows. Heck of a game, though.

Dawg fan here. Started drinking at half time. Told my wife I wasn’t sure if would to celebrate or drown sorrows. Incredible game and fortunately celebratory drinking for me. Went with my new bottle of Bernheim.

Really impressed with this barrel. A couple more are available in my area and I’ll be scooping some up this month. For anyone that really likes the SAOS 10s and SAOS SiBs, try the Belle Meade single barrels  if you come across one. Seems to be same caliber of MGP juice.

I agree, the only downside being they're priced about $10 higher than the SAOS was.....humph!

Thanks to a fellow friend for letting me know about this barrel. It is some very good bourbon. Remarkably Dark for 90.4 proof & the nose is Incredible!

Cheers,

Jeff

I enjoy the hunt (such as it is in ABC-land) for the LE's but I've really come to appreciate the simple goodness of this bourbon.  It really goes down smooth and I love the fact that it's readily available in any LS in the country and at a very affordable price. It's one of those bourbons that should be on everyones bar in addition to the "finer" selections that we all covet.
I agree with you, I may not get all the LEs or btacs, but some of the bourbons readily available are top notch. I wish I could try some ogd 114 to try the difference.

What do you think of ew bib?

The double barreling will do that.

I have OGD114 coming out of my ears. Isn't distribution a funny thing?

Cheers!

I have basketball practice with the boys tonight & will drink several of these later. Did some inventory last week to check on my stock of SA. Had a few more than expected, but that's okay. 90% of these are top notch barrels that I bought a bottle of, then went back for multiples over the last 3 years. I learned the hard way at the beginning of this journey, by buying multiples before tasting.

Cheers,

Jeff

I've been seeing a lot of these. Are there not as many in your area?

Plenty of WRDO. Just not many Store Picks.

Working on a candidate for the "Empty Bottle Support Group" - HWMWND Act 5 Scene 4.  As they say in St. Maartin when you ask if the taxi is coming, "Soon Come!"

I’m not po’d, just intrigued that someone had the wherewithal to buy all these while they were readily available. I used to walk by rows and rows of this stuff in various stores because I thought they were a little too pricey. I eventually picked up a few, but not until they started to get harder to find.

OK; not actually Bourbon (Mea Culpa); but, I did a SBSBS of Pikesville Straight Rye, Jack Daniels Straight Rye, and Baby Saz.

Not being that big a fan of ryes, I didn't expect my hair to be blown back . . . and, it wasn't.

My fave among the 3 was the Pikesville, though for easy drinking Baby Saz was nice.     The surprise (for me at any rate) was the JD.    It had the most 'rye character' of the 3.     ...And, it wasn't close.
