Happy belated birthday!
Thank you for the birthday wishes! It was a great time with family, and the bourbon was great. I'm definitely loving four roses. Next time I go to the US in a few months I'll definitely pickup at least another bottle. Possibly even some other Weller, Elijah Craig, or ceht products if I can find them.

I saw a few others have been drinking this the last few days, so I’m following suit. This is a great way to wind down after 5 days off work.

I'd go with that SFTB in the background next! Great stuff!

Cheers!

I'm celebrating my birthday tonight with my family and trying 4 roses sib PM obsv for the first time. I'm sharing it and from the first taste, it's super delicious! I hope it's not because I've built it up in my head. 7be8f499bb8155c027f496480bbfc53c.jpg93475c7b30a7c1c899e0e2b06cdc3b6c.jpg

MGP, KY, or TN juice?

Probably from Dickel (Tenn.)

They picked a great barrel, however. Very floral with no heat at nearly 120 proof.

Four roses tonight, this batch delivers for sure. Did a sbs recently with the 2015. The 2015 is still my favorite but this 2017 is not far from it.

Cheers!

Enjoying a couple of pours of OF single barrel. It's not brilliant by any means, but it's hitting the spot.

Cheers!

I haven't tried their others recipes, so I can't say which one I might like better. The obsv is very tasty compared to other bourbons.

Sorry not bourbon, it’s cold and I’m having a good palate night. This taste like cinnamon and raisins, absolutely wonderful.

Brrrr, cold one out there tonight.

A pour of OF SiB helps to knock off the chill.

Cheers

Took a break from the EHT tonight and moved to another BIB...HMCK10BIB. Got a huge wallop of HH nuttiness right off the bat. A lot of HH stuff gives me that funky nut flavor, including PHC11. When I'm in the mood for it I like but sometime it hits me as off. Tonight is a good night.

I think BT is the only major I don't get that from in any of their offerings.  All the rest seem to have it in varying degrees across their labels.

Good day at work for a change. Private selections of BT and Weller SR tonight.

Had a pour small pour Weller Antique and of Makers Mark Cask Strength. These are very similar. The MM has a more prominent nose but not as complex. Similar palate but a much nicer finish with the Makers.

Was able to get the MMCS for $17 for a 375ML, normally it costs I’m sure more. I usually get the Weller Antique for average of $25 for a 750. The MMCS is a great substitute for the Antique and there’s no way I’d pay more for it than the MMCS, Weller hype has got out of hand.
