Doc Swinson's has put out some great stuff locally for a good price. Looking forward to the 12yr rye if it's available.

The world needs Ron Swanson whisky, and always nice to have another Lag on the shelf. I like the odd year choices they have been rolling with lately.

Some very interesting ones there. The first and third one would definitely seem to have issues as you suggest. Hopefully they’ll have the 12 year at the Lux Row gift shop by the end of April so I can snag one if the price is right...who am I kidding...I’m sure the price won’t be right!

With the exception of maybe Blood Oath Luxco has been pretty fair pricing wise off the top of my head.

I agree, but the Rebel Yell SB 10yr got bumped up $30 with the second release, so I’m expecting them to price this similarly to Blood Oath.

I didn't really see that here first batch was $50 second was $60, even at that price its a value compared to other age stated wheaters.

First batch here was also $50, but second batch was $80 here...and that’s the price for it at the gift shop too as I recall.

Hmmm.   Nice proof; but "fudgie" age statement on the B'Day Bourbon, eh?  ;)

How many other bottles can you think of that list the age three different ways in three different places.

Beam/Suntory is releasing "Legent" this week.  It is an 86 proof blend of a 5 YO Beam basic mash bill bourbon with dollops of Beam bourbon finished for two years in sherry casks and of Beam bourbon finished for a year in CAL red wine casks, the mix sitting in a tun for another month.  Fred Noe and Suntory's chief whisky blender, Shinji Fukuyo, worked on this.  MSRP is $35.  ALL my info comes from:

https://www.foodandwine.com/cocktails-spirits/legent-bourbon-beam-suntory-review

and the TTB notice: https://www.ttbonline.gov/colasonline/viewColaDetails.do?action=publicDisplaySearchBasic&ttbid=18290001000629

And, if I see one, I will buy one.  The persons responsible for Baker's, Booker's, Hibiki, and Yamazaki deserve at least ONE chance at satisfying me.

Pretty sure I posted this one a few pages back but this probably isn't the easiest thread to sift through, this showed up in NY last week, most stores were $40 but one was $37, I'll probably wait until it hits NJ to grab one, either that or I'll just cave and buy one next week. :D

Interesting I’m not a huge fan of barrel finished products but agree will pick one up if I see it.

The last Old Charter Oak (Mongolian Oak) came and went so fast I saw one bottle and it was priced at $1000, dulls the excitement for me.

Hmm.  Label says bottled at barrel entry proof and states 57%/114 proof.  Interesting that their mash bill 1 and rye go in at 125 but the wheated goes in at lower proof.  Never realized that before.
