Thanks for going through the trouble. Nice that "Jura" is only mentioned five times on the pack front. 2004/2005ish?

Good question couldn't find any label filings on the TTB site for this label the oldest was the the 10 year from 2009 which was two labels ago by my recollection.  Didn't dig deep on Scotch Whiskey Auctions or Whiskybase but your guess is probably as good as any I would make. In terms of the whiskey inside, I can say that I enjoy it more than the previous to now 10 year old which a friend had an open bottle of by a wide margin.

Grabbed a bottle of Yellow Spot in the Dublin airport for 60 euros. It's a bottle I've been interested in but not at the $100 or so it goes for around here. It's quite good and I'm glad to have a bottle but I won't be replacing it at the U.S. prices.

The Circle has yet to make it down my way-- seems like each CB release takes longer and longer to arrive. Might have to grab it when next up north. Have you seen No Name II on shelves yet?

I haven’t seen No Name II yet, but if it makes it here, it probably won’t be on the shelves. Compass Box has only been available in my area for about a year now, so we still only get a few of the LE bottles. Fortunately, one of my favorite local proprietors knows I’m a CB fan, and lets me know when he gets one of the few that make it to our area. I could have picked up a bottle of “Affinity” too, but decided to pass on it.

Funny-- down here the only reason that any Compass Box releases wouldn't be on the shelf is for fear of breakage from folks rushing past them to fight over the remaining PS bourbon offerings. Give me 15 minutes and I could be back here with a No Name I, Delilah's XXV, Juveniles and Stranger & Stranger-- I guess the stuff is too fancy-looking, expensive and mixes poorly with Diet Coke.

Just another example of the crazy differences between markets. Maybe in a few years, after the core line of CB has been on the shelves around here for awhile, and garnered a following, we might get more than a handful of their LE bottles. As it is now, you’d be extremely lucky to still find any of the bottles you mentioned in this market, and I’m not even sure if the first two were ever even available here.

I guess that I wasn't clear in my note. We probably receive a similar handful of the LE bottles, they just don't move at all. As an example-- a few months back I went on a scavenger hunt for the three Lost Blend label variants from around 2014/5 and found two complete sets within hours, which gave me the luxury of shopping price. At this point, most local LS owners seem reluctant to even bring the LEs in for fear of gathering dust. Of course, the truly limited Bespoke bottlings like The Spaniard (360 bottles) never appear, but these are typically market-specific.

Yep, I clearly misunderstood your first comment, but I suspect you still get a bit more than we do in your area. For example, I think our market received one 3-pack case each of The Circle and Affinity, and the store that I shop at the most (one of the largest in my area) received one bottle of each.

I don't think No Name II is coming out in the US until the fall even though it was already released across the pond. Kind of surprising you don't have The Circle yet. Georgia always seems to be one of the last places to get anything!

It's a LE summer deal-- the Campfire Gift Pack, I imagine something else will be released for the holidays. The mugs are top notch units and the whole kits is the price of a bog-standard Ardbeg 10.

I’ll have to ask around about that. I haven’t seen one around, but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t available in my area.

Couple of peaty arrivals

Picking up a few pre-Bourbon Season points clearing the slow movers— nearly five years on the shelf did the cork no great service. Odd that the dates show 26 plus years in the cask.
