Thanks Jeff, I feel like kevinbrink with the dusty 2005 Bowmore score. An official cask strength NCF bourbon-matured Bowmore of this age had me laughing all the way back to the hotel.

Curse these G&M Distillery Labels... may have to ask the hotel to stash this one until my return.

I’d be interested in hearing what you think of No Name 2, once you open it.  I missed out on the first edition.

Final pick of the trip, think I’m all Islay this time around— other than the G&M. Hope the TSA is kind to me.

No Name #1 is still on the shelves...

If I lived in the US, I’d be all over that.

The LAG16 is my favorite Non-American whisky so I used a portion of my Birthday Bonus from work to pick up the House Lannister GOT LAG9yo.

I'll probably never find this shop again-- but I'm going to try when I'm back next week. I saw plenty hints of hidden oddities, but didn't want to tip the dude off-- especially given that I was well over my packing limit.

Good luck, I'm trying to curtail my spending at the moment so I'm not even tempted to ask you where if you can find it, enjoy the spoils of the hunt!

Just retraced my steps on Google Maps and found it-- it's a total s#!†-hole with the most scathing Google reviews I've ever read. Love it-- one even complained that it was exceptionally dusty and dark, with freaky, creaky bottles jammed haphazardly on shelves.

What did you do, get to rummage about in a forgotten whisky filled basement? Between the 2005 Bowmore and the 2010 Lagavulin and now a bottle of Ardbeg from probably 7 years ago. Quite the haul!

Sorta-- was a combo of good luck and good leads. Can't believe that everything made it back in one piece. The Glenlivet 21 Distillery Label was bottled in 2014, the freshest of the lot. I'm going back next Saturday to do some more digging at the dusty dive-- I just ID'd a bottle I saw there out of the corner of my eye and I'm kicking my own ass for leaving it behind.

The more you post about it the more intrigued I am, can't wait to see what you pull out next!
