Very nice, hopefully the higher ABV will help the spirit survive the evaporative losses. What’s the bottling date? I’m guessing 2003/2004.

Guss West
Picked up a bottle of the Single Cask Nation 8 year old Glenrothes. NCF, NCA, bottled at CS and all 8 years in a refill sherry cask. Cost me a crisp c-note. I enjoyed a pour of a standard bottling of sherried glenrothes so took a flyer on this one. Have my eye on the Springbank 10 and 15 at this shop before they get hard to find here in the US. Both of these worth the ticket price, in general ($70 and $100, respectively). Will probably end up with both eventually.

beasled
It's been a very good week and I got these at a decent discount, the Glencadam was 25% off and will be tucked away for a very special occasion.

Marekv8
I don't have room to bring any bottles back in luggage, so these are hotel room drinkers from Berry Bros. & Rudd-- told my wife I was out admiring the flora & fauna. This neutered Dailuaine 16 marries perfectly 50/50 with the CS Cadenhead Dailuaine 10.

The few I have had from various distilleries always seemed a bit underwhelming.

I’ve only got a handful of them, but it’s basically Diageo’s official take on the G&M Distillery Label series— approachable, enjoyable and affordable. Other than the occasional Special Release, official versions of these guys are pretty much not available.
Marekv8
The glass cases at this joint were crazy, but I was informed early-on that they wouldn't ship to the US, so I had fun choosing a single bottle amidst a tremendous group of contenders. It was between this, an OB Glen Ord 28yo, and an Ardbeg Galileo--- and the Bladnoch won out in the end.
Auracom
lowlands need more love. but not for me today... grabbed a 2008/2018 Talisker DE (opened immediately when i got home) and a bourbon Clynelish for future reference against the sherry one from a few weeks ago. confident this will hit the spot. Guss West
Found a Benriach peated/port single cask bottling nearby for $100. Reviews online seems mixed. Experts here, what have been your thoughts of this release?

A number of the Bottle-King chain of stores have had the 12 year CS in stock pretty consistently, for $80-$90 a few of them have some of the older age bottles as well you can surf through their store inventories at bottleking.com, you have to pick the store first, I know Glen Ridge, Glen Rock, Ramsey and Wayne all had it last time I was there. I can think of a couple stores near me with 15 for under $100. It's been a while since I saw a single cask around here though I could probably find a few indy bottles with a little effort.

Unfortunately that’s the bottle my pals at the TSA smashed on a trip back from Chicago. I did, however, salvage a few pours from the plastic bag it was wrapped in. You’ll be pleased with your selection.

Pretty hard to go wrong with peat + port to be honest.
Marekv8
Gotta love the small bottles— couldn’t pass on the baby Prophecy from a crazy overpriced shop in Edinburgh a few moments before closing. Probably losing a few parenting points given that my family is split between the “Abelour Suite” and “Glen Scotia Suite” at the hotel. Marekv8
Maybe I've hit the whisky wall-- dropped in six whisky shops in Scotland and only picked up these two 5cL bottles. Hell, my wife spent more on shortbread. Kicking myself for not picking up a certain bottle at Binny's a while back which is obviously the target of everyone's radar here.

I'm seriously concerned for ya buddy. When my wife and I went to Scotland a couple years ago I did my best to not buy anything, but went home with 5 bottles anyways.
