afmadd
55% bourbon 20% wine 20% beer 5% rye/gin/rum Though my wine/beer consumption is going up now that covid quarantine is (mostly) over and my bourbon drinking is going down.

lcpfratn
This is a tough question since I like a lot of variety in life. My best guesstimate is probably 20% each for the following three categories: Bourbon/Rye; Scotch/Irish and Wine. Then I’d estimate approximately 10% each for Rum and Tequila/Mezcal (Mezcal is definitely moving up in interest). And finally around 5% each for Beer; Gin/Vodka; Armagnac/Cognac/Brandy and other miscellaneous spirits.

I'm retired. So each day is same as next, tuesday same as saturday.

Gotta say, I am impressed. When I was younger and in my prime, I used to tipple all the time, ignoring rules and guardrails. Well, I tippled when I FELT like it. NOW, I am retired like BB Babb and can indulge on a whim. Nevertheless, I now follow all those rules I used to think didn't apply. I do not drink the night before, or day of, a long road trip (two hours or more) and never drink on the day of a drive. Exception? When eating out, ONE cocktail before dinner, and one during provided I'm also having dessert. Drinking during COVID? I like drinking alone if only because I can savor two ounces for an hour or two without feeling rushed and without mindlessly knocking them down while talking. IOW, OK.
Jazzhead
Quote 20 years ago I drank mostly beer, but nowadays I go through maybe a six pack a month. Nowadays it's almost all whiskey, sipped neat. Rum I also enjoy, although lately I've drank very little. Wine only when the social occasion requires it, preferably a cab or merlot. Gin and vodka? Never. Of the whiskey, I'd guess 60 percent bourbon (and rye), 25 percent scotch, and 15 percent Irish, Canadian and Japanese. Of the bourbon, maybe 75 percent from the legacy distillers, 25 percent craft. Edited September 13, 2020 by Jazzhead
