And now for something completely different. 😯 Galvoin0791 gave me a sample of  2021 FRSmBLE at Thanksgiving. I finally opened it tonight. It’s not often that I’m at a loss for words. All I can say about this one is it’s a damn fine bourbon.

Sam Houston 15 in the glass this evening.

Is it good enough that you'd buy it again?

I do enjoy it.  Local bottler that I try to support.  I have 5 more back. So, yes.

Had some Barrell Bourbon private release that was a local restaurant and liquor store pick. It was very good, not great. But now I'm in some Elijah Craig Barrel Proof batch #8 from 2015...this stuff is pretty outstanding, 139.8 proof.

I have been drinking the Master's Collection from Woodford 2020 (Batch 16) and it has been way better than I remember. Holy. I thought it was a wasted purchase but it's unreal, to me, right now.

Followed up with the continuation of Disco 3 from Bardstown.

Bring on the heat. Only one pour left and then it's time to move onto a different batch.

C917.  One of my favorite batches.  I have one open now and am glad I still have a few backups.  Especially since ECBP has become much harder to find in my area..

I have another C917 in the bunker, but figured I would move onto the next one I have, A118. I have also found them to be harder to find in my area now. They are turning into a raffle item more and more around here, which sucks.

Recent KC15.  I'd heard it wasn't all that, but I'm enjoying it.  More wood than normally gets with KC, and degree of complexity.  Like other aged KC and the recent Basil 10 bourbon, it is quite good.  Beam needs to learn their material gets better with age.

All this talk of MM101 made me pour some to start tonight; soo tasty.  I think I'll wait until holiday clearance sales to see if I can find some discounted to stock up on; it's pretty widely available here for $35. If I go through 4-1/2 bottles before then, there's a serious problem...

Following that up with KC SiB Binny's pick that's hitting the spot nicely, as well.

Drinking some KC 9 in a hotel bar in Dallas waiting to go see a Christmas play my sister in law is in. And I’m off work for the rest of the year. Cheers!

This is so crazy.  I first saw it in Indy last December and it was $39.99 and limited.  Throughout this year, I have seen it several times in the $29.99 to $34.99 range.  I bought a couple of bottles on sale for $24.99.  Liquor distribution is so confusing.

I emptied a bottle of Angel's Envy.  It was a gift.  I bought a bottle when it first came out.  I also had a few pours at dinner functions a long time ago.  This was only my second extensive experience with it and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoy it.  Each pour was met with satisfaction both before and after higher proof bourbons.

However, at the local price of $42.99, I didn't enjoy it as much as two bottles of OF100 or WT101 which I can buy for the same price.  Even jumping up to $42.99 per bottle, I can pick up FRSiB or WTRB.  I don't believe I will replace this bottle.

I have now moved on to Woodinville.  I like this one enough that I picked up another bottle today.

Quiet night with MMCS in the glass.

In the glass is better than out of the bottle, or....

I would hope Binny's is having their holiday sales already.  I would love to have a Binny's or Spec's in Indy.

After a long and exhausting dinner out with the kids we are back in our room at Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee.  Short version is we left the BBQ place we picked out because they were hit with an unexpected rush and were out of brisket/burnt ends/pulled pork.

Some KCSiB in the glass now as we watch N. Dakota St. football and the kids are watching a movie on the iPad. Feeling better already and may be the first one to fall asleep tonight. :)

They need to put a Binny's right off one of the Greenwood exits of I 69/ SR 37 (Center Grove area).

Between the local residents and highway traffic, it would be like a machine printing money.

There's even a really cool dude that lives by there, could help out with all those single barrel selections. 🥃😉
