What’s open on your bar? 2024-???

I could’ve sworn we had a thread like this, but I have CRS, so …….🤔

I gotta say that over the last year or so, I’ve deviated a little from my norm. In the past I’ve tried to keep my open bottle count to around 12-14 bottles. I’ve found a few more decent bottle’s lately, so I decided to throw caution to the wind. 🤗

The BT and the FR SiB OESF aren't technically open yet, because I just replaced a couple of bottles that we finished on NYE, but those 2 will be cracked soon.   Here are my open bottles in my "bar."

Which Octomore and how do you like it?   Mrs. Skinsfan gave me a bottle of the 14.2 for Christmas.   I haven't opened it yet.

I've lost track lately, but with all the Scotch and Irish whisky I've opened recently without fanfare, I'm estimating at least 200 opened whisk(e)y bottles are open on my bars, might be more.

Octomore isn't for the feint of heart. It's powerful stuff - arguably the biggest peat PPM (parts per million) on the market. The peat can be overwhelming for some, but usually also has a nice sweetness to it.  It'll ruin your palate for anything else, so stick to it for the session, or have it last.

Open it up and give a try, it'll be an experience if you've never had it before - let us know how it goes in the Foreign Whisky thread - cheers

I finally got my office back in order from the hurricane 3 years ago. Takes forever to get remodeling done.
This is my open bottles. Don’t think that I have a problem, some of this juice has been open for years.

I no longer have any numbers of bottles. I usually have 2-3 at any given time. Right now I have 1792 small batch, WTRB and 4 Roses single barrel... all open.

I mean there’s 10 recipes, so he really only has 3  “extra bottles”
