ripvanfan
Iowa has really dropped off the map when it comes to getting good bourbon. 3 or 4 years ago I could find ORVW 10 and 15 along with the rye. Hancock Reserve, Blantons, Rock Hill Farms, and several other good pours were available. Now all you can buy is Russell's Reserve, WTRB, and EWSB. Oh...this just in. Eagle Rare SB has hit the shelves. Scotch selection isn't as good as it once was either. At least they allow us to mail order booze in Iowa. Though, I prefer to shop in person. Chicago is less than 3 hours from here. Iowan's love to mix their liquor. Black Velvet and 7 is very popular. As for Hawkeye vodka...I'm sure other states drink the same vodka under a different name. A ton of Vodka is made in Muscatine(IA) at GPC. A flat of good strawberries can hide the nasty taste of well vodka any day.
