unclebunk
Powers 12 last night and a bit of Connemara Peated Single Malt to finish the night off. Definitely a bourbon football day today though!
unclebunk
Trying Highland Park 12 AND 18 for the first time ever. I bought a bottle of the 12 that came with a mini bottle of the 18. While I definitely prefer the 18, the 12 is very good.

Gillman
Glenlivet 15 years old French Oak.One of the best malts, elegant, perfumed from the French wood (thus Cognac-like), refined. Not a big bruiser, or an all-rounder like HP 18 but the soft Speyside part of the equation.Gary
HP12
Getting the chill out with a beginning pour of Highland Park 12 followed by a Laphroaig 10. Peaty pours are indeed a satisfying warmer-upper.

BAO
Late report here. Enjoyed the Costco Macallan 15 and Costco Speyside 20. The Lag 16 y'all have been heavy on is still affecting my smoke detectors. Going to have to ease in to this one over time.

Funny thing is, I seem to recall someone from Indy telling me they were regularly picking up Laphroiag 18 for a similar price when I can only find it for around $100 here in Chicago. Time to move to Indy! Edited January 29, 2013 by unclebunk

Or maybe I don't even really want to know. That one is probably closer to your pricing. I want to say its around $93ish? So 10% off that price. I'm not a huge HP fan. I like it, but too many other bottles I'd rather have for the price. I'd never turn down a pour though.
Yeti
$93 is a GREAT price for HP18. 10% more off that is ridiculous. About as ridiculous as $36 Ardbeg. I think the local prices here would be around $49 and $120 for those two.The notable deals I can think of in Charleston, WV would be Glenfiddich 15 for about $43, Balvenie 15 for $60, and Glenfarclas 21 for $95.
