craigthom
Well, if I wanna feel like an "American" I can always say that I'm supporting American jobs and American Industry and American Heritage. I have no problem with giving the people who were willing to support these people through rough times when the distilleries would have otherwise been lost the credit they are due.We can still bitch about closing Stitzel-Weller, though, right? In that city named after a king of France? callmeox
I decided on a pour of Centennial this evening while filling out my timesheet for last week at work. Heck, it was a garden variety 58 hour week (not counting today). While putting my my time for work, I thought I smelled something burning in the kitchen as I had a very strong wood smoke smell in the air. It took me a moment to realize that the culprit was the Centennial sitting nearby. I've never gotten that strong of a smoky nose off of any pour before. It's almost a wet campfire log smell and it is wonderful.

Gillman
McKenna SB poured on two cubes of ice glug glug in my big Jim Beam glass. This bourbon seems at its best slightly chilled and expresses the true spirit of Kentucky straight whiskey.Gary
