redbear
I found a ~2005 HP18 at 2005 prices. Just $78. Usually it's $100 or more around here. Also picked up a JMR "Smooth Sweeter One" for the hell of it. I'm curious about these blends.

unclebunk
Care package came in the mail today containing a Forty Creek Confederation Oak, and a 375 of Alberta Premium Rye. Excited to try both, not often, if ever, get to try some of these that are available across the border and not readily available in the states.Thank you!BStill dying to try Alberta Premium but haven't been able to score a bottle. What do you think of it?Still
BFerguson
Still dying to try Alberta Premium but haven't been able to score a bottle. What do you think of it?For being a 100% rye, it sure doesn't drink like the other ones marketed within the states currently. it is quite the pleasantly and somewhat mild sipper compared to them, but the rye nature still come through clear. if it was available, it would be something that I would buy and suggest to another.B
unclebunk
Picked up some Irish whiskey yesterday. Went with bottles of Powers 12 and Jameson 12 for a change of pace. I'm sure they won't last long.

bad_scientist
Got a couple of Laphroaig Cairdeas Origins yesterday - $59 at Montgomery County stores and plenty of them, so go get them! However, I missed the Ardbeg Galileos by a few hours, darn it...
LostBottle
Eh...I wouldn't say you missed the Galileo. From what I am hearing, it is overhyped (like most Ardbeg stuff now) and not that great. A friend and I split a bottle, so I will post my thoughts when I receive it.

Trey Manthey
Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch #3 and a new Ardbeg Uigedail.Taking a gamble on the Balvenie, as I've never tried it. Supposed to be outstanding if the reviews are to be trusted. Don't know if I'll be able to wait for a "special occasion" to open it. Maybe I'll just make Friday special? The Oogie is a favorite, but it took me more than a year to finish the bottle. None of my friends share my love for Islay.

BFerguson
Due to a recent thread bump, picked up a bottle of Wiser's Legacy today while out. Not often I wander north of the border, but the going on what folks and said, my curiosity got the best of me. B

Please post your notes when you crack that sucker as I am entertaining the possibility of picking some up in Vancouver. If I stumble upon an Alberta Premium 25, I am bringing that back too.
