p_elliott
Last night I started off with a pour of WT RR Rye taste like rye bread, then a dusty of Baker's from 93 as best I can tell ( the cork broke in half when I tried to open it). Tonight I'm starting off with WT 101 may revisit the RR rye I can't decide if I like it or hate it .
fishnbowljoe
Having a small pour of Pappy 20 to celebrate finding new furniture for our dining room. A great bourbon. :yum: It's worth what I paid for it. Joe
Hondo
Having a little Makers Mark this afternoon. It has been a year or more since I have had any... I still like it however now that I have broadened my horizons a bit, I find that I don't care for it as much as I once did. I have tasted a wider variety of fine bourbons over the past year or so than I had previously tasted in all of my life. Experience does make for a more interesting perspective. funknik
Had a small our each of OGD 114 and OWA 107 with a cigar and a good book. I don't get the cigar / bourbon combo though, the tobacco kills all of the flavor for me -- the OGD fared much better than the Weller, though. Here's to drinking with Swedes, Leif! Squash
Yes, ginger and rye is great.A friend of mine found a stash of Old Fitzgerald Prime, 86 proof, bottled in 1994, so we have been enjoying that. An SB member told me how good they were, so he'll be getting a present soon.

TNbourbon
I bought a house earlier this month, and I'm a middle-class, workaday government employee (teacher) -- so you know I'm being cheap while I buy hanging plants (3 today, plus a potted bush!), shelf liner, and a new refrigerator (Whirlpool -- water and ice in door, side-by-side, under retail, but still a LOT OF MONEY!).All that said, I'm enjoying -- with store-brand diet ginger ale -- some green-label Evan Williams. One of the tenets -- it think I've been around long enough, and have enough posts, to assay 'tenets' (Chuck, check me on this!) -- of SB.com is that 'good whiskey is good whiskey'.Now, mind you, I have some Stagg, Stitzel-Weller, single-barrel (hand-selected, by me and others), and limited-edition bourbon in the house. But, green-label Evan Williams IS good, basic bourbon! I'm enjoying it well enough. We can't always be exceptional, you know.
