First pour nice, light, and smooth; ORVW 90. Second pour rocks with a splash of H2O to tame the strong rye bite of rittenhouse 23 but with a very nice finish. I still have to walk a little before I jog. tim

Yesterday it was Weller 7 years from the 70-is and an uncut/unfiltered 9 years HH bottling from Cadenheads.

A little Booker's tonight. Was expecting a buddy to visit this weekend but he had to postpone his visit. Oh well, more Booker's for me.

Full moon, fairly warm, a great night to sit outside with a pour and listen to the owls. And chase the damn porcupines back into the woods.

Cheers!

Enjoying some Saz Jr out of a crystal Gelncairn and listening to John Coltrane Live in Europe with Eric Dolphy . . . two different 20+ minute renditions of "My Favorite Things" . . . I should be posting this in the musc thread, I guess. Saz is excellent . . . green apples and corn flakes.

Drinking weller sr as major thunderstorms move out of the area. A tornado touched down in Murfreesboro, TN with sevral injuries. I hope that if we have any members in that region that they are safe. tim

Indeed, Tim. Our buddy Ty (Sotnsipper) and family, are in Murfreesboro. Let's hope all are safe. The Southeast is gettin' a whoopin' from MotherNature tonight. I'm pouring a Pappy 15. Pappy will calm things down, I'm sure.

Tried making a Manhattan with WT Rye. As it turns out, I still don't like my Manhattans made with rye. I only drank about half.

I switched gears completely and now I'm drinking Glenmorangie 10.

I'm ending the evening with some Pappy 15 as well. It always satisfies and ends the night on a high note! Although, I partook of quite a bit of Booker's, ETL, Baby Saz, and Weller SR before moving on.

Finally opened a EWSB 1999 last night. Will post tasting notes in the next day or two.

I just had a glass of Wild Tukey 101 with a pint of Blue Moon. For some reason, I enjoy WT101 much more when I'm drinking beer.

I like the way you think Chris, or in this case - drink.

Tonight I had three pours of the Handy '08 and some Black Diamond Cheddar. A fine combination, and the Cheddar holds up well to the Rye (though I still prefer the Aged Gouda).

Having a pour of ETL tonight. I'm really glad I bought another bottle of this. It's a nice pour. Joe

I just got myself a bottle of Evan Williams Vintage Single Barrel. What a good whiskey. Good price too.

Just wrapping up a little work here and in about thirty minutes I plan to wallow in some ERSB.

Cheers!

Yesterday I went over to a friend's house and took with me a Booker's, Jim Beam Barrel Bonded, OGD 114 and Maker's mark. Not big bourbon drinkers but they did appreciate the drinks, and I think found a new spirit to enjoy.
