I tried to have a little of The Fox, but that just isn't happening, so I switched to OGD 114 -- a harsh & beautiful mistress -- this completely redeems the OGD line for me. After that a little VSOF because I need some sweet wheat. Then I decided to shave my beard....here's me doing my best Dylan circa 1966 impression.....

Finished the night with a healthy pour of Four Roses Yellow Label -- best "bottom shelfer" out there (yes, I realize it's doesn't belong there, but cheaper than the other mid-shelfers.)

It was Bulleit and Bud at the bar last night, heavy on the Bulleit.

It's good to play cards with a DD!

Some RR90 (damned bottle won't die), a bit of VSOF which got much better with some air in the bottle, and a bit of ORVW 10/107 to cap off the night.

Some Crown Royal XR and Makers Mark.

I am a big fan of the Crown XR, though it probably wasn't worth the price. Still glad I got one.

Weller 12 last night. My 40th birthday will be here with in the week. Its time to open a hirsch 16 gold foil to celebrate/mourn ( my 5 yo daughter says I am half way to dead).

Killed ~300 ml of OWA 107. After that, I've moved on to some Willett Pot Still.

How is the Pot Still? I've been pondering this purchase for awhile.

Last night I really enjoyed my '74 Old Fitz Prime 86pf. For a lower proof there's a lot of flavor and mouthfeel. So glad I have this bottle.

Joey's Cocktail Hour starts with Old Grand Dad 114. If there's a more "bang for your buck" bourbon out there, I don't know what it is...Well...OK...OWA 107 is a pretty good BFYB bourbon, too. Now, I know what's on deck! :)

Uh...Old Ezra 7yr 101...ahem...it's...a good BFYB bour...OK!,OKAAAYYY!!!...I'm easy...!!!:o

Joe my local store will sell me three bottles of 114 Grand Dad for the price of one Parker Heritage. I chose what was behind door number two.

Oh, and I agree, the 114 Grand Dad and 107 Weller are great bargains in the quality/price ratio.

A SoCal afternoon sipping a neat Van Winkle Lot B found at a Golf Course after an "off the hook" 18 hole scramble. It may be an early evening...
