Hey, I'm new here but I'll be trying some Distilled in 67' bottled in 74' Old Fitz tonight with a pour of Old Weller 107 (no Antique on the bottle) while grilling some pork chops outside.

Oh yeah my name is Tony and I like bourbon.

Hello all!

As my grampa used to say, "Look what the cat dragged in!" Holy Cow, brother. Where ya been? I was thinking Oscar had you locked down in the cellar, trying to get you to tell him where all the good dusties in Motown are. :D Great to see you back around.

Cheers!

Four Roses Small Batch 90... neat.

It's got a lot of 'red hots' going on.

I'm gonna throw a couple of small chips of ice in there and see what comes out...

Old Weller 107 tonight again! Really liking this bottle, it must be from right before they changed the label to read Old Weller Antique. It's a 375ml and will be missed when I finish it. What to pour next...hmmmm!

Distiller's Pride bourbon and EC12. The EC tastes better, but the DP goes down more smoothly. Does anybody know the % of rye in their mashbills?

A new thread today about ER17 provoked me to pour a little 2005 ER17 that I have open. I would describe it as an "older, graceful and elegant" pour. Well balanced, well dressed, a touch oaky on the end. Maybe, a little better a few years ago. Kind of like one of those older movie actresses from yesteryear, that still looks pretty dang good in the slinky satin dress, on the red carpet, come Oscar night. Very nice, over all, and with a fine pedigree.

Then got out the grumpy OGD 114, and he bit#$-slapped me up side the nugget. Old fart. I don't care if he smells like brownies or not...He's dang ornery.

Wow, dunno if I can top that. But I am celebrating a finished paper tonight with some Centennial. It only took 9 months to write.

Wow, I did just the same thing. I had a pour from a open bottle of '06 ER 17. I found it over aged, a bit too much oak, which was not my impression when I first opened it. So, after finishing it I switched gears and poured some Handy (132.7) whichever year that was.

I've been drinking younger whiskeys lately, That may be why I found the ER 17 past its prime.

Last night I enjoyed my first taste of Wild Turkey American Spirit.... Definately my favourite of the Turkey products I've tried to date, but it still had a little too much burn on the finish for my liking. A few drops of water definatelty did the trick.

Good to see you, Tony!

I've never seen the name 'Antique' on a 375ml bottle, which leads me to believe that they never even put it on the 375's (please correct me if I'm wrong in that assumption).

I've been in Corpus Christi for the past two days, and I brought along with me a dusty 200ml bottle of Old Charter BiB (Fall 1975/Spring 1984), just enough for 2 evenings worth, which is what I'm drinking now...good stuff!
