Waiahi
In these economic tough times, I've decided to stop drinking all of my KSBW that costs more than $20 a 750ml, and only save those pours for special occasions. So I figured that means I'll be drinking WT101 and EWB pretty regularly......that is until I did the math and figured out that actually the cheapest, decent quality KSBW to found here is the 1.75 liter bottle of MM at CostCo for $34.00. It worked out to $0.51 a ml, whereas EWB 750 ml at $9.00 was approx $0.83 a ml.After figuring that out, I was able to justify to my wife that we actually saved money by buying the MM at costco instead of the 9.00 EWB at Wal Mart. It was neat to use the favorite female tactic in reverse..."I SAVED US MONEY BECAUSE IT WAS ON SALE!" :slappin:

Josh
Picked up a VWFRR today in celebration of my vbt win, and because it seems to be going away from Michigan, at least for a while. Also picked up an OFBB 2003. I was surprised to see it, since this place seems to move a lot of bourbon. The clerk also brought some tantalizing BTAC selections out of the back room but my lips are sealed.I may be persuaded to reveal the location tho, provided somebody fills my flasks with what they find.
bonneamie
I also picked up a VWFRR yesterday!! And OGD 114 and ER 101. It was time for a little stash enhancement.

fishnbowljoe
Stopped at Woodman's Market tonight to pick up a few things. Of course I just had to check out the liquor area. On a whim I bought a bottle of 1792. Haven't had any since the KBF last year. I thought it would be worth revisiting. Joe

gblick
Picked up a couple of Pappy 15's, for the bunker.I figure since prices have been rising I may as well get them while they're not way too high. I'm thinking that when these are gone and the next batch comes in, they may be priced well out of my budget.

I'm thinking that when these are gone and the next batch comes in, they may be priced well out of my budget. What did you pay? I have 3 bunkered here and they run about $55 these days (if you can find them that is).Just picked up a VWFRRye 13 yr. Paid $35. Never seen it around here before and just got lucky at some out of the way beer store. I'll open it after I kill my Handy 2007 (which is amazing btw). gblick
The PVW15's were $50.99, which is about as much as I'm prepared to pay for it. I'm used to paying much less for it, but I guess those days are gone.I've never tasted the VWFRR. If I could find it for $35, I'd give it a try.Handy's another one that I'd like to try someday. hectic1
I should have picked up a couple more Pappy 15's when I had the chance...we are out at the Plainfield Binny's and there is very limited supplies in the Binny's channel. As of a week ago the loop (Chicago) location was the only store that had any in stock. I hadn't had it until last weekend so I didn't know what I was missing! I have one open on the bar and two in the bunker. They were going for $49.99 regularly and 15% off during Binny's sales weekends. Illinois just passed a significant liquor tax increase that goes into effect September 1st.
ggilbertva
I'm in Myrtle Beach on vacation and stopped by a liquor store near our hotel. Pathetic selection......I defaulted with a purchase of WT101. I'm not knocking WT which I like but was hoping to find something a little more interesting.

ggilbertva
Couple of nice sb.com folks reminded me about Owens Liquor here in Myrtle Beach so I headed up there late this morning and found a much nicer selection. Picked up an '08 Stagg and Handy. The Stagg is for my brother but that Handy is getting cracked open tonight.

fishnbowljoe
Picked up a few bottles today. I couldn't stand it anymore. Besides, I thought I better get a few things for the bunker before the taxes go up Sept 1st. Purchased a Baby Saz, Weller SR, Weller 12 and a bottle of Baker's.
