ShewDawg
Old Weller Antique and WT Rye. Really enjoyed the OWA, will try to pick up a handle (or 2) when I am down at the KBF in September. WT Rye was enjoyable, but I have other Ryes to hit prior to circling back.

ShewDawg
It was the first Rye I had since WhiskeyFest 08 and really enjoyed it. On the WT note, I am looking forward to trying a Kentucky Spirit bottled in 06 after I finish up a couple of other bottles.

ILLfarmboy
Last night I asked the wife if I had time for a drink before supper was ready. As it turned out, I didn't. I finished it, a hefty pour of Baby Saz, afterward. Then, I thought what the heck there's only about four fingers left in the bottle. A couple hours later the bottle was empty and I went off to bed. I guess we had a hell of a storm here last night. It kept the wife up half the night, but I slept like a baby.

ggilbertva
Polished off a small 200ml of '84 Old Crow 80pf. It's warm here in VA so I wanted something light and delicious and this one fit the bill. Here's a pic of the empty.

JamesW
Last night I put down my first bottle of Wathen's. Not a bad pour. I got it for $21 and I can get another for about $23 now so I think it will be replaced. I also killed an ORVW 10/107 which was fantastic as usual. Only 2 more bunkered... starting to rethink this one as the prices have gone through the roof @ $39.99/750ml. I used to get this for $28 when I stocked up a case. unclebunk
I had to bid farewell to bottles of Ancient Ancient Age 10, Pappy 15 and Rare Breed this past weekend. Lots of grins drinking 'em though, so I don't mind. Will slowly start in on my bottle of WT12 CGF but will hit the OGD114 at full throttle. JoeMaybe more to come. :skep:What did you think of the Repeal Joe? I had one bottle and i think it was the worst tasting whiskey ive ever bought! It had an extreame licorish taste that i thought was gross, i let other ppl finish it for me, at least i got a free glencairn out of it
fishnbowljoe
Jon, I thought the Old Forester Repeal was okay. Not great. Not bad, but an okay pour. I got a medicinal, acetone taste, but I can see how it could be characterized as licorice. I have some older bottles of Old Forester. I can taste hints of it in the Repeal bourbon. The Repeal just doesn't have the earthiness and depth of the early 90's bottlings. Joe

smokinjoe
A tear is shed, as I drop a Handy bottle into the......no.....I will not say that tra#$ word for this beautiful bottle. Tra#$, demeans it. I will not do it. Rather, I laid to rest, this fine rye.I thoroughly enjoyed the last couple of ounces, char included. It's the best part! The pour in my glass, was as dark as coal. Peppermint, surprisingly sweet, and flavor that went on forever. The Handy rye may be the best offering from BT's star-studded line-up.
