I haven't even seen it in MI.

Craig

Ask Andy at Village Party Store on Michigan Ave in Saline to order one for you.

But it will be 20 bucks more than the one at Binny's that you said you might get.

During the holiday shopping season, i've come across it in just about every store visited for $99. One store I came across runs everything 10% discont on tuesdays. They had one left last week.....tempting at $90 even though tax would push it back close to $100...never paid that much for a bottle of anything.

Finally got around to opening this bottle. Rich, chewy toffee with rye spice. Definitely a Turkey.

Hard for me to get past the cheesy, over-done packaging. Kinda like the worst of Las Vegas. And the price, of course.

All in all, I like the WTAS better.

Finally showed up in Texas at the usual locations. $88 plus tax. I'll open mine soon. Will do a Tribute/American Spirit/Tradition/Master Distiller Selection taste off. My bet is on Tribute as I love the chocolate covered cherries I pick up with that one.

That would be a very nice vertical.... You need to toss in a Legend or two...

the packaging is incredible and who would not like a self supporting back bar peice all in one package. As far as the product inside it is hand selected barrels by Jimmy and Eddie Russell. They pick the best in the rack house for this brand as well as keeping it at 101 proof. Is it the best turkey out there that is debated but everyone else is doing these high end bottlings why not one of the best distillers alive today...

I don't normally do this but dude, that read very poorly. ^

What are you talking about?

the debate in earlier posts is the Wild Turkey Tradition worth the money and what proof is it and what makes the tradition the tradition?

-Well it is 101 proof.

-It consists of Barrells hand selected by Master distiller Eddie Russell and Retired Master Distiller Jimmy Russell.

-The bottle and package is self supporting. it comes in a box that when it is opened you can display the bottle like those fancy bottle enhancers you see on back bars at your favorite watering hole.

-Finally everyone else is entering into the high end bourbon market so why not another entry in the line of Wild Turkey. At least the name itself speaks for quality and tradition....

Sorry if i didnt come across the right way in explaining my thoughts...

While in Tennessee, I toured a few stores looking for finds. I ran into a very knowledgeable and pleasent WT rep who helped me find another WT Tradition bottle. In her district it's selling out; she only has four bottles left for distribution to stores in her coverage area.

I am glad to hear it is appearing at some places for a much more reasonable price! Although Texas is probably one of (if not) the least expensive state for bourbon purchases from what I've heard and read... $88 would at least get me to buy a couple.

You must have been in the eastern sector. Over here in the west as well as parts of middle TN, I have seen it aplenty. Now, it is $99 and up....which probably explains why.

Went to Binny's on Saturday and took advantage of their 15% off sale. I managed to get the $100 WT Tradition for $85 and still had enough money to buy a bottle of Laphroaig Cask Strength. I left the store happy!

Hey Randy,

you do a side by side on this Turkey parade yet? Thinking of getting one but not sure which to snag.

Still waiting for this to make it's way Down Under, although I was told it will not be here until Campari take over ship in June, not sure how true that is though.

It's definately made its way Downunder. $100 AU (approx $108 US) a bottle. I got two last weekend and am yet to open one. I'm a sucker for presentation (and trinkets), so if the bourbon is half as good as the packaging, I'll be bunkering a few more bottles of this.

It's good stuff TomH brought a bottle to Houston for the table (very generous Tom). I had a couple pours. Mozilla arranged for me to buy a bottle from the store he works at and delivered it to me in Houston I have yet to open it. I may save it for my birthday.

Seeing this around the area for $89. I was not sure about it at first but it has really grown on me. If it gets down to the $69 level it may be time to bunker up a few.....
