bourbon-n00b
Cracked into my first "big" bottle, as opposed to the more mundane stuff that I had been drinking up to now. 2007 BTAC Saz 18. Pretty good but I'm not sure that I don't like WT Rye just as well, at under 1/3 the price. Maybe the Saz will get better as I work thru the bottle. OscarV
I haven't had a bourbon and coke in years.Yesterday I had a couple made with diet cola and Henry McKenna Single Barrel BIB 10yo.I thought the McKenna was good this way, the spicey mint came thru the soda pop very well.At 29 bucks and being a SB and BIB makes it a good value. Vosgar
Tonight I decided to go with some WT 101. My wife and I were out of town for the weekend, and I went without for 3 days. I think she was more surprised than I was so this may be an opportunity to make up for lost time. What next to drink........
smokinjoe
I've been working my way through the EWSB 2000. At first, I was a bit underwhelmed. But, as I get deeper into this bottle, it's brilliance is becoming evident. A little smokey in the nose. The entry is a touch delicate, but begins to build quickly into a lasting and full finish. It doesn't sledgehammer you, but rather hits it's fullness and just keeps going. There's a heather and honey thing going as it builds. Almost...kinda...Irish-like. The finish is very lasting and chewy. A nicely played addition to what has been a terrific line from Heaven Hill. Kudos to Craig and Parker Beam on this one.:toast:

bourbon-n00b
On a fresh day, slowly try a small sip of the WT. Think about the flavors and finish. Then try the Saz. Then, sip them both again.
