hectic1
FRSmB...this pour is a weird one for me...some nights I like it others I'm like what was I thinking. Lucky for me tonight was a good night. I followed that up with a pour of 99 Pewter WTKS...man I forgot how good that juice is!
SMOWK
SMOWK, thus far, I'm totally digging all things Weller. I prefer the OWA over the Special REserve but the SR is pretty good in its own right. Totally agree with your review.
Gillman
A vatting (50-50) of current Very Special Old Fitzgerald 12 years old and Woodford Reserve. The heavy waxy pot still element of the WR is cut back in favour of welcome fruity notes from the VSOF. At the same time, the slight acidity of the latter is absorbed by the WR. The combination reminds me of superlative examples of bourbon from the 1950's and 60's.Gary

ErichPryde
Stopped at BevMo! here in Tucson to see if they sold pipe tobacco (I couldn't remember) and by random absurd chance, they had 2 bottles of PVW15! It's not something I see often anywhere- you guys with your 12 bottle buyouts kill me.Anyway, they both walked out the door with me, and as I finished my last bottle two weeks ago with a co-worker over cigars, I decided to crack one open. All I can say is damn. This bottle is definitely better than the one I finished not so long ago. It's delicious, and immediately reminded me of my first experience with PVW15 in a bar in Portland, OR several years ago. I got an almost adolescent thrill- The two bottles of PVW15 I've owned and drank were good, but couldn't compare to that first experience. I hope that as this bottle continues to open up, it will become even more mouth boggling, delicious, and intense. The punch of honey-nut is already here. nor02lei
I had a turkey evening yesterday with tradition, 8 export, 12 gold folio and RR101. All tasted good and some of it was consumed while watching one of my favourite moves (million dollar baby) on television.Leif

SMOWK
Freshly opened bottle of OFBB 2008. It's the birthday of a friend of mine who passed away. What better way to pay tribute?I believe this is a LOT better than the OFBB 2009.
gblick
Last night it was RR101 (the last of the bottle), vatted with a little WTRB in order to fill up a small flask. After that was gone (shared with a buddy), I moved to some OWA '99 that I found/purchased on the way to the night's jam session. This handle of '99 OWA is unlike any other that I've ever had, hard to describe, almost tasted like a cognac or something. At first I was a little off-put by it, but once I got used to it I came to enjoy it a lot. In fact I'm having a little now and it's quite good, better than last night even. We'll see how it opens up during the next few weeks or so.
nor02lei
I did have OGD 114 and ORVW 10/107 from pocket bottles today at a ploy competition get-together with my work mate’s tonight. Most activates was outside in very cold, windy and rainy whether. The 114 tasted enormously good in the warm beach house afterwards. Leif

rocky480
Yesterday, after a very long day and night of working on a condo to ready it for sale, there was only time for one healthy pour of Lot B. I hope the other bottles I have bunkered are as good as this one is.
smokinjoe
The Rittenhouse BIB is a pour that I loved several years ago, but it had fallen out of favor with me the last couple of years. To me, it seemed to have become more "bourbon" like. To such a degree, that I had a hard time distinguishing it from "medium" ryed bourbons. I recently picked up a new bottle, and have been giving it another go....Much Better!! The raw rye is coming back. I don't think the rye quality is quite as pungent as the earlier bottles, but it's definitely an improvement over recent bottlings. Still, nowhere near Baby Saz (which to me, is the shiznit of the off-the-shelf, everyday, ryes), but I believe this Ritt may slip into the backup roll for me when my Baby is gettng low, or empty. Vosgar
We had a little 50th birthday party for my brother-in-law Saturday night. My sister had mentioned a few weeks ago that Dan had bought his first bottle of bourbon a while back, Maker's, and had enjoyed it. He's normally a beer and sometimes Scotch kind of guy, so I thought we should celebrate with some other goodies. I brought out Pappy 15 for the special occassion, which obviously went over very well. Dan said his only problem with it is it's price, so I figured why not give him a few options. I put out a Weller 12, OWA, and an Everett's 09 Weller SR and he really liked the SR. Since he was up for it, I decided it was time to go a little different direction and we had some FC, OGD 114 and Bookers. For the final pour of the evening I had to make it memorable, so out came an 09 GTS. I believe he's hooked  Gary
spun_cookie
I have been off the juice for a while due to all of the work, but this is night 3 in a row I am working that Handle of OLDE Bourbon. The handle will not make it past Thursday when the fellas show up tomorrow. That and the 750 of OT 80/6 from 1992.
T Comp
Last night was for celebrating so I broke out some of my remaining VVOF 1963/1975 which I had previously shared with some of the SB brothers at a Binny's get together for Joshua's Chicago visit and B-Day back in January. My mistake was making this the first pour (45ml) as nothing else including PVW 20 and some other post 1980 SW bottlings tasted as good or even the same after this. Yowsa! Special Reserve
I finished off a 2008 GTS over the weekend. Fortunately the bourbons gods were extra special to me during the period of time it was available and there are replacements. That goes very well over cracked ice this time of year.
