nor02lei
I got a parcel yesterday with whisky for Yvonne and me. We both got JDSS, WT 8, EC 12, and Rittenhouse BIB. Then she got Beam 7/90 and I got uncut Blanton’s. This was the last 2 bottles of Rittenhouse that the shop owner had in stock and he clamed its impossible to get more.Leif
DeanSheen
"Rittenhouse that the shop owner had in stock and he clamed its impossible to get more."Cowdery noted that a new batch is coming out in October here: http://chuckcowdery.blogspot.com/2010/07/news-about-rittenhouse-rye-and-bernheim.html"They are now mashing rye one day a month, which is up from three or four days a year just a few years ago. Supplies are very tight right now but a batch of nearly 1,000 barrels will come of age in October, so it should be much easier to find after that." callmeox
Is that the new bottle for Weller 12 yr!It is the same bottle that the Binnys Weller 12 was sold in, so I don't know how new it is. Perhaps this is the first time a general release of W12 was packaged this way.
jburlowski
It's certainly the same bottle that was used last year. (and perhaps the year before.)

SMOWK
Fall is here. Open your wallet.Today was a good day. I was able to talk a lady friend of mine into driving an hour, each way, just to pick up two bottles of Four Roses that was selected this past April by Dave Gonano. I sure hope this is the FR bottle that makes me say, mmmmm. I trust Dave, he's never let me down.I would've picked it up myself, but I'm not making the trip to the Baltimore area until Sunday, when the store will be closed. It pays to have friends all over. rocky480
Normally, I'm not a fan of the fall. The shorter days and colder weather are things I can live without. So, instead of just reminding myself that I've got football back, I figured I'd start this fall off on a better note with a few bottles of Weller 12. T Comp
I learned once again if you snooze you lose. Today is a 15% off spirits & wines coupon day at all the Binny's. I knew (secretly of course) where there were three 09 Stagg's, standing up and looking proud as recently as a week ago, but somehow invisible when I got back for purchase today. And I wasn't going to be greedy, only wanted one. I consoled myself with a Binny's Weller 12 and High West Rendezvous Rye.

nor02lei
Here is an late answer from this question from unklebunk from the closed summer thread: “Nice haul, Leif. You must have one hell of a bunker after all of your recent acquisitions. What did you bring back from the Houston trip?†Well Hank its only allowed one suitcase of 20 kg nowadays so I didn’t get more than nine bottles: WT Tradition, Tribute, WLW 2007, OFBB 2009, 2*Forester BIB 1986, Dickel BS, WT 12GF and a 25 years old rum. I have the tribute and OFBB in the bunker and I gave away one BIB, but the rest is finished or open. As I live tight I haven’t unlimited bunker space. BourbonJoe
Leif,That's a very good looking package of whiskey. You sure know how to maximise space in your suitcase.Joe:usflag:
BradleyC
3 x VW 12 2 x Pappy 15 2 x WLW 091 x OF BB 10 All of these bottles were at GOOD normal retail. I found a coupon on the back of a grocery store reciept and got 15% off. Passed on a bottle of the new BMH 16. For now at least.
