At sunset tonight on the deck in Louisville I enjoyed a nice pour of the Kentucky Barrel Society 2005 Barrel C single barrel Weller 12 while listening to Art Blakey & the Jazz Messengers and looking forward to seeing many friends in KY in a few weeks. --Cliff

Nothing as cool as the Pappy a few posts up, but I'm enjoying the last couple of measures of a bottle of WTRB.

A vatting of Weller 12 and Grand Dad BIB. Vatting is not new to me but in the past I haven't approached it with the same level of attention as now.

Started out with blind pours of PHC 124.2 cut to 107 and ORVW 107. I'm quite enamored with the PHC 124.2 and it continued to be the one I preferred of the two. Ending up with some PVW 15 to further treat myself before a very busy work week to come.

I had some BT followed by EC12 and ended the evening with PHC 2010 (127.8). I haven't had the EC12 in a while and was surprised by it...I'll have to go back to this bottle more often.

A bit of EC18 .... if you hit the right one the EC18 is one of the best buys in bourbon today.... most of the Feb 1992 dates have been quite good..

Finished off a PVW 15... somehow missed the company in post #201. :smiley_acbt:

Trying to polish off a bottle of Willet SB to make room for the 2007 BTAC Saz I found today.

PHC 10yr properly cut to 107proof. Wow is it hitting the spot tonight. Damn, need to get more.

Four Roses Small Batch with a Sierra Nevada Celebration chaser, while I inventory the beers in the house.

With all of this talk about Rare Breed, I'm having a pour of...wait for it...Rare Breed.

Started the evening with EWSB 2001. Not bad I think for me it's better than the 2000. Probably finish the night with a pour of Blanton's.

Squire, do tell a bit more if you would. I love both pours and have never vatted them.

What are the percentages?

Is it current OGD?

Had a few pours of the Fox, Va. Gentlemen, last evening... quite a good 90 proofer....

After all the posts I was drawn to a nearly empty Rare Breed that I hadn't visited in some time. It really wasn't working for me so I tried a Rock Hill Julios Cherry finish pour - it didn't work either. I gave up and switched to beer. Some nights the palate just doesn't cooperate.

Had a few nice pours of Fighting Cock last night while watching the NCAA Final.

A good day at the office, today. So, a nice pour from an early 70's Old Crow Tuxedo decanter. There is such a beautiful and whalloping finish to this whiskey. You can chew on it for hours, it seems. No, they sure don't make Old Crow like this, anymore.
