Definitely enjoying OGD114 right now. Have Assn open bottle of BT, but that ones really not doing it for me right now, so it will sit in the back and hopefully improve with age - otherwise it will get mixed with cola.

Have a few other bottles I would love to open, but don't like having too many open at a time. I'm always worried that their quality will go down for some reason.

Enjoyed a pour of ETL KBS 2006 barrel of the Year (such a different ETL profile than I'm used to - still sweet, but with more heat and spice on the tongue and a strong alcohol finish) followed by a pour of Woodford Reserve Seasoned Oak Finish.

Yowza! Sounds like a good year, then. I almost picked one up this week, Josh. But, it was North of $50. I figure if I'm going to have to pay that much, I'm giving the cash to my local guy. He will get it in, eventually. What price was yours?

In the neighborhood of $40. I got it at Party Source. OFBB has YET to make it to Michigan shelves.:smiley_acbt: :smiley_acbt: :smiley_acbt: :smiley_acbt: :smiley_acbt:

You got me interested too Josh and I don't think it has made it here yet either.

To clarify, the nose reminded me of Old Forester BiB and even a little of the WRMC Seasoned Oak. It was oddly thin on the palate but the finish was big and tannic. (reviewing it for the blog). Classic Forester profile all the way thru, not like the eccentric releases in 2009 and 2010.

OFBB usually makes it here very quickly, maybe a week after the official release. A lot of ltd eds seem to be taking their time getting to the shelves. I've been saving up my food stamps so I can buy another bottle when it finally makes it to Michigan. :D

A Willett to accompany the World Series shortly - 7y I think, and then a 6y as well. Part of a much larger group buy that I'm slowly winding down on. There have been a few that were just ridiculously great.

Then a little William Larue '11 perhaps. Tall order to live up to the '10 which I loved and the '09 which I thought was great too. Haven't seen much chatter about it yet.

Was doing a pumpkin stroll with the wife and kids, so Rittenhouse 80pr in a coffee mug did the trick. Now it's on to some FRSB LE 2011.

I forgot how incredibly good Rittenhouse BIB is on its own and not just in a Manhattan. No wonder why I have a box stashed with a few.

Bourbon in a coffee mug is a cool thing. Many old-timers here Down South seem to like it in the mug. Good choice if you're walking.

Nearly poured the last out of the Willett Rye. Been loving this for awhile, glad to have stashed a few for the future. Just a bit of a tasting pour left in the bottle.

Might have to have another taste before bed.......

Enjoying every minute of Game 7. (Originally from St. Louis, now in LA).

Not, unfortunately, enjoying this 6yo Willett. It's like someone soaked Corn Nuts in Woodford Reserve. Oh well...

Enjoying several pours of Wild Turkey right now. Probably finish the night with some Blanton's.
