I just picked up an EWSB 2000 and one each of the 2011 GTS and WLW this evening.

I also found a 2009 Sazerac 18 for about $60. Should I go back for that one too?

Picked up a "case" (3 bottles) of 2011 GTS. $74.99 each, up $5 from last year. Not much around this year, some stores said they are not going to get any this year. I feel lucky to get 3.

Got my hands on an 18 year old Willett wheater, barrel proof. I heard second-hand (someone who knew the guys who selected the barrels) that it's Stitzel Weller. I haven't verified it because I haven't met those guys, so for now it's just an excellent whiskey. I can't even bring myself to open it; instead I'm nursing a 375 of BT and making googly eyes at my closet.

Odds are about 50/50 it'll be opened in time for Sunday Night Football...

I picked up 3 bottles of the Bulleit rye, since I like the first one so much, and a bottle of Angel's Envy which I haven't seen around the DFW area before now.

Was able to find bottles of the 2011 GTS and WLW. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to open them now or bunker them...

Missed out on the PA Stagg sale, sold out by the time I could confirm with my friend that he would stop for me, but was able to order a baby and Saz18, EH Taylor and pretty much stole a WT Tradition. Knowing the PA system is prone to errors Im worried that the Tradition will be a Rare Breed.

Michter's 10 year old straight rye, which by the colour, taste and other reports is at least 18 years old IMO.

It has that trademark taste, not easy to describe in words, I remember from the best early BMH rye bottlings, the one connected to that company in California. Beeswax, maybe.

This particular one is quite dry but it all works well with good dashes of sweet and spice.

This is I believe old (in all senses) UDV rye, but I'm not sure.

Just bought a bottle of EC 12 year. I liked it. Not something I will drink every day, but will keep a bottle on hand all the time. I'm not even going to try and dissected taste or smell. Smells good and tastes good, that's about the best I can do!

Picked up some Old Charter 10/86, Charter 101, Eagle Rare 10/90 and Hirsch Kentucky Straight Corn Whiskey at 90 proof.

I guess I've got a heavy corn percentage thing going on right now...which is fine with me!

I was in a store buying a few bottles of Cognac and I couldn't help throwing a bottle of VOBBIB in with them. A lovely bourbon for a lovely price. It disappears faster than a minnow can swim a dipper.

Bought a small bottle of OGD BIB today. My first experience with OGD of any kind, and it really hit the spot! At this point I have almost all wheaters in my closet, and they needed some rye to talk to. Judging from the way I feel right now after 2 pours, Old Grand Dad will be an annoyingly friendly but loud conversationalist :)
