Picked up 3 bottles of the Abriham Bowman 18yr Bourbon. Party Source Barrel #1 and #5 and a bottling that was only sold in the Bowman gift shop. I also grabbed a Henry Mckenna from Lawrenceburg this week while visiting Texas.

You know Flyfish, our Bourbon selection here in Ohio sucks. I went to buy WR since I've been out for about a month, and saw the old Ezra 101..hey, I'll pick up a bottle of that since its the BOTM. Got talking with someone and walked out without it..

It's even worse than you think. I was talking with my local merchant about the limited selection. He said he has a customer who regularly requests a particular spirit but Liquor Control won't let him stock it because their demographic studies say that nobody in that neighborhood wants to buy it. As a whole, Ohio selection sucks. At the level of specific stores, it sucks even worse. That's why KY gets well more than half of my bourbon dollars--and I'm 200 miles from KY.:hot:

I'm about 60 miles from Northern Ky, they probably get 75% of my bourbon $$$. One bright spot though, I saw ETL on the shelf today in Ohio.

That's one I've yet to see. What was the price on it?

Also, does anyone have the link to the Ohio price list? I thought I had it bookmarked, but can't seem to find it now.

Kind of regretting buying a normal old Knob Creek and EWSB 2001. I had $40 to spend as a reward for fixing our garbage disposal, and I passed up:

Booker's ($41)

WTRB ($33)

OGD BIB ($15)

Abraham Bowman 18 year old bourbon ($68 but the wife would be okay with it)

A Bulleitt bourbon and rye combo ($40)

I just got the KC because I have to clean up some rotten pumpkins outside and I thought it'd be a good cool weather drink. But my goodness, this KC is nasty! I loved the KCSB but this tastes like rotten vegetables.

I believe it was $31.99, a little high, but then again so is gas.

I bought an OldEzra 101 and a PVW15 today. Going to be a good weekend.

Happy Veteran's Day 2011.

Picked up a bottle of WT Rare Breed for our Thanksgiving Day pour, in a couple of weeks. The challenge will now be making it last that long...

I was happy to pick up Old Charter 10, and Bulleit Rye. I had to look at quite a few places before finding the rye. I saw a bottle of Saz I may return for.

Have you tried the Bowman yet? I haven't read anything about it, except for vague stuff like "very drinkable". That's good, that's exactly what I intend to do with it, but nobody has notes posted that I've found.

OFBB 06, EWSB 11 and a Willett 4yr rye.

I really just can not get enough of this Willett. It is by far my favorite that I've had recently.

Set out to find 2 PVW15s, thought I had a line on one, not to be. But, surprisingly, I did buy two VWFRR13s. I found one lotB, but they wanted the same $$ as their sold out 15. Couldn't, or wouldn't, pull the trigger on that. I love it, but that's insane.

This might be changing a bit as Ohio just got a small allotment of Van Winkle and my local store began stocking ETL. But I won't give up on northern KY just yet.

Blantons haven't had it in awhile and Leopold Bros. Never tried.

Have an 2011 Stagg coming in on Monday.

No luck in the SF area for PVW of any type.

Hit TPS, CNB, and a few other stores in the area today and totally struck out on finding any ORVW. :hot: Did, however, pick up CNB private selections of ETL and OWA as well as some EB 101 so I can join in on the Bourbon of the Month thread!

Picked up a couple of private selection ERSB's. You can never have too many of those. Joe
