Somehow these bottles jumped in the car with us on the way back from a family vacation.

How come my vacations don't end this way??? I'm doing something way wrong . . . :) Or I'm in the wrong family!

I was happy to pick up a WL Weller 12 yr (which I'm apparently late to the party on - this is the first time I've seen one?) and a Col EH Taylor barrel proof (134.5 proof). The CEHT's seal didn't last 5 minutes when I got home, and it was worth every penny!

These showed up today. Tiny, yet I'm sure they're good.

Old Fitzgerald 100 proof BIB, Distilled in 1953

Ancient Age 86 proof, apparently bottled in 1969

A vacation and Saz bottles stacked behind Saz bottles? Well done, Captain!

Good eye Will. I already traded one to Jake for a 2007 Saz.

Found a bottle of Angels Envy in my hometown of LaCrosse, WI. If I pass the series 24 exam tomorrow, it will be surely opened amongst other bottles!!!

EC 12 yr, single barrel selection by Brass Mug. Seems to have more going for it than the regular EC 12yr.

Thanks to sharing :thankyousign: of info from fellow SB/GBS member: 2 bottles of FRSB 2012 LE.

The "sharing" will be repaid in spades by opening one of these OESK beauties at the Friday night GBS event: "The Thrilla @ Smokin Joe's".

Bill.

I bought some Michter's Small Batch yesterday. I don't see it talked about a lot on here, but I really like this stuff.

An overpriced ORVW10 107 in Beverly Hills. Kind of shocked to see it anywhere in Los Angeles, so I paid about $13 too much for it. I'm sure my pleasure will be worth it.

Just picked up some OWA --- this bottle is even better then the last I had a month or so ago.

I get the wheated sweetness... but also picking up more of the barrel oak-ness, giving it almost a hint of rye spice. Not nearly as 'simple' as my last bottle, as that one was almost pure thick/chewy sweetness with little else. Really enjoyed this first pour tonight. :)

Picked up 2 bottles of WT 101 Rye. Haven't seen this anywhere, and then *poof* 8 bottles.

They're still floating around here in Chicago. Glad you found a few. Great value whiskey that should never have been discontinued.

Wow, you and I are on the same page. WL Weller 12yr and a bottle of the EH Taylor Barrel Proof came home with me yesterday as well. I think you'll like the Weller 12 year, I find myself skipping the ORVW 107 to drink the Weller 12 yr.

I will say, I had a rough day at the liquor store. In addition to the above which set me back about a $100 bucks, I found 5 bottles of a 2004 Tritono Malbac on a back shelf along with a 2000 Montelena Cab at a year 2000 price, great dusty finds, but it was another $200 bucks, but I've found that if you leave stuff you've been looking for on the shelf it's usually not there when you go back.

Finally found some Knob Creek Rye at a North Carolina ABC. Seems to only be available at a few of the stores. Still haven't seen it in SC.
