Finished my first OF 86 pf this weekend - already picked up another. After trying it, wished I could find an OF BiB.

Perhaps appropriately, I am finishing a bottle of Elmer T. Lee tonight.

Killed a couple bottles last night while watching Black Hawk Down with my South African neighbor who had never seen it before. We killed a 1789b FR OBSF P/C #4, OWA #10, and a Heritage Liquors Blanton's. I've never really been a huge fan of Blanton's but this bottling has a velvet buttery mouth feel that is so unique that I picked up a couple bottles for the bunker. Thanks Bradley C! In Colorado these are going for $39 a bottle so the price point is tolerable vs. the $55 they sell this for in Illinois.;)

A little slow on my reply Chuckles but no better way! I remember your story of his connection to S-W. An empty bottle and packaging the most worthy of keeping.

Chuckles, by the way, was incredibly generous to share a 12 year old VOF with some of us back at a Binny's get together in November 2011.

A neighbor came over tonight and helped me finish off a bottle of ER10 that's been open for about 3 years.

Did it still have the burnt-rope tannins after all that air-time? :slappin: I've got a bottle that's pretty old and 3/4 full as well.

Finished my bottle of Elmer T Lee's namesake. Shame is, it's not available in my state... so it will not be easily replaced.

First, a solid movie and very thought provoking. Second, Blanton's is a solid bourbon. Among my favorites, except the price makes it a less frequent pour than I would prefer. Velvet, buttery smooth is a great description. $39 is a great price. Still not sure that would make it a regular pour for me but it certainly would make it a more frequent choice.

Trying to empty some of the open bottles in my bunker. Finished off an OC10. It is 86 proof but a solid pour. I might buy another bottle once the bunker empties out some.

Who picked the FR?

Local chain called Big Red Liquors. Started in Bloomington hence the IU/red tie in. It was really a good barrel. And OBSK may be my favorite Rutledge concoction.

I emptied a TPS OESO last night by sharing it with a great bartender at a local microbrewery.
