T Comp
After some carry out hot links and rib tips from Honey 1 BBQ here in Chicago I cooled my mouth down with some Larceny. Nice hints of tropical fruit I'd not noticed before in the Larceny. Now onto a 1991 Bottled in Bond JW Dant from United Distillers made at old Bernheim-DSP 2 and bottled at DSP 16. Nothing fancy, just good old smack you over the head classic bourbon, with lots of vanilla, corn and a little baking spice thrown in . tigerlam92
Thanks to a new friend, I just got the PHC2010 and popped it open for a quick pour. Straight from the new bottle, it is quite good. The way I like, very good wheated bourbon!! Seconds from the bottle, it is already very smooth and balance. The nose is somewhat mellow but the flavor is very nice. The main thing was that I found in the beginning I have to drink like fine Tequila where you need to exhale out. However, after maybe 5 minutes or so, the alcohol balance out and the finish is very well balance. I bet this will open up very nicely over time as other wheathed bourbon. Definitely, something I like as I drank two pours in 10 minutes. Cheers, Hugh Edited April 10, 2013 by tigerlam92

unclebunk
We drank nothing but Tennessee whiskey during the NCAA championship game and the Dickel No. 12 and Jailers Premium were mighty fine. Last night we switched over to Virginia Gentleman 90 and AAA 10 YO (not the 10 star). Good stuff!
higgins
Have the week off, so I'm starting the day with some EW BIB in coffee. This one comes across especially sweet in coffee, and complements a strong cup quite nicely.

Tucker
Home after my oldest son's second driving lesson. We're starting off easy in the Gwinnett Braves parking lot. Still, I need a strong pour after that experience, so I'm going with the Four Roses gift shop barrel #8.

smokinjoe
Sittin' outside my hotel here in W-S, NC on a beautiful and warm evening, with a large pour of 2003 EWSB. Excellent whiskey, though I would prefer a bit more bite to it. Extremely drinkable, and nicely (maybe, too much?) balanced. This is from a barrel I would like to have tried at barrel proof.
