I opened for business on this day in 1989– an appropriately bittersweet toast to 32 years of self employment.

A wintery mix.

Dipping my toes into sherry for palate-eduction purposes, and always keen to support PM Spirits.

Just so you know, I'm riding out the zombie apocalypse at your place.

Cool, I understand that consuming Malört makes one invisible to the undead.

The Malört didn’t go home with me, but you certainly tried to get me to take it after I said that it wasn’t that bad. 😁

LOL  Sorry Jeff. 🥴  If you didn't take the Malört home with you, who ended up with that bottle? My CRS is getting the better of me.🤔

I can’t remember who ended up with it either. Maybe Stu took it to add to his next Frankenstein Blend.

Fernet-Branca and coffee before heading to LGA. It is so cold in NYC today, my Louisiana is showing.

You didn’t give us a chance to yell out, “HOW COLD IS IT?!?!” Johnny.  😁

Hey Dave,

Haven't had the chance to thank you for sharing a picture of mixing the underberg right into the fernet.  Lovely combo that balances out the too-sweet amari I often find open nearby.

Now I'm saving my caps for the underberg delivery truck, too!

Excellent-- on weekends I do an Underberg/Cognac/Fernet blend to get the day started-- seems to be a good balance.

I literally just sent my Underberg cap savings off last week-- finally had enough for the truck (with personalized number plates) and the accompanying musical trailer-- I'll post images when they arrive.

Regards, Dave

Glad to see you're back to posting pictures from The Vault.  I'm not the only one here who appreciates your contributions!!

Also wanted to ask about the Cynar secret.  I haven't heard this mentioned before, are they meant to be mixed? Cause the blend is way, way better than the sum of it's parts.  Just, wow.  Rose hips, flower gardens, powdery citrus deliciousness!!

You’ll have to refresh my memory on a Cynar based blend, I’m drawing a blank.

A “club pick” of sorts bottling of Chartreuse… doesn't really fall into the Yellow or Green category…

I have had this (and the Chartreuse du 9 Centenaire) for a while. This one comes across as a yellow Chartreuse with some green blended in while the 9 Centenaire is more of a green Chartreuse with some yellow blended in. That of course is a likely oversimplification but kind of gives one an idea, presuming of course you are familiar with both green and yellow Chartreuse!
