Found this dusty bottle of Campari and this weird decanter with an Italian Tax strip, anyone want to venture a guess as to what is in that bottle?

Now to find some dusty vermouth so I can make a dusty boulevardier

I'm going to guess an Inland Rum Punch.

A digestif after a truly remarkable meal in Poland:

It's described as a "herbal vodka" online, but that doesn't mean anything to me :) What's it like? I find myself in Krakow a lot, worth bringing along a checked bag?

It's definitely worth a try. The herbal infusion is well done, but you have to enjoy cinnamon, as it is a major component, along with citrus peel, anise, ginger, and who knows what else. The thing I really appreciate is that it isn't too sweet or very bitter. Most digestif tend to skew one way or another. As much as I like Underburg, this is certainly more elegant.

That's 4 in a night? Be careful there, we don't know what's in it but the rule of thumb is you don't mess with high-density herbal extracts and oils, that can turn into a health hazard fast.

I am clueless on this.  What’s up with the health risk with these types of things?  Can you elaborate please?

Thanjs in advance.

Extracts and essential oils used in these digestives or otherwise made for food flavoring purposes contain absurdly high concentrations of whatever plants they are made of. Sometimes hundreds of pounds go into one bottle. Even innocuous stuff like peppermint, nutmeg, sage, wintergreen etc. have well studied toxic properties, which normally wouldn't be an issue with doses you can humanly ingest, but extracts make poisoning easily possible. Some of these can literally kill you. In the best case you spend a few days dealing with uncomfortable respiratory, heart, or skin problems.

Other times you may have a latent allergic reaction that triggers with overexposure, which as you know is also very dangerous.

Nothing screams “product safety“ like an official gunbelt multipack… one of my all-time favorites. I'd forgotten that I gave mine away last year to one of my favorite LS owners-- so I had to reel in a new one this week.

Picked up some gin for my wife-- the Luxardo Sour Cherry is amazing stuff (as I figured it would be).

Tilus Truffle Liqueur— as I was looking over these 30ml bottles, the LS owner pulled an equally dusty 750ml version from under the counter. Maybe next trip.

Interesting indeed. Depending on the cost I might try one of the 30ml bottles to see if investing in the 750ml was worth the gamble.

When not drinking bourbon or Scotch, I like gin and tonics. Picked up this bottle and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite gins. So much better than regular Tanqueray.IMG_2006.jpg

They have certainly "jazzed" that label up over the years!

I've got that Hendricks limited release but haven't tried it yet. I have opened the Hendricks Orbium and wow...it is tasty. All you need is ice and you are good to go. I've been drinking a lot of gin now the summer heat is here. The Botanist is y go-to gin.

Working my way through find lately to for making msrtinis.  Surprised to find this on sale in an ABC store in Towanda, PA.  Not sure how I feel about the little bowler hat but I've heard the juice inside is pretty good.

Yes, Bowler hats are stupid, but Fred Minnick always looking for a new angle, just put out a new poll asking if he should adopt wearing a bowler to supplement his brands “image”.   In form, he has set the low bar of 4 “Yes” votes to become even more ridiculous... ;)
