Tonight was a great night for Bourbon and toasting to Four Roses. Thanks to Brian from 4R I got a tiny sample of Four Roses LE SmB 125th... delicious can't wait to get one. A taste of Warehouse liquors barrel of 4R a 9 year 3 month OESQ which is amazing and I need to grab a bunch before everyone else finds out about it. Flight of the LESBs at Ds the 100th Anniversary was my favorite, followed by 2013, 2011 and 2009 was my least favorite at cask strength. With a lil water 2009 was amazing with notes of bubblegum sweetness.

Did you taste the 2012 1B? If so, how did it rank? That's the only recent one I don't have and I'm curious about it.

I had some 4r1BLE 2013 last night. Good stuff.

Last night was a Four Roses Private Selection OESO for me. Tasty stuff. Might be my favorite recipe, but I've not paid enough mind yet to comparing them to be honest.

Others have loved the 1B LE 2012, but I found it underwhelming, I actually chose a pour of the standard 1B over it in a SBS (not blind). I just found the palate to be very muted, even at CS. I've not had the 40th anniversary, or 100th, but I'd put the order of what I've had at 120th, '13, '09, '11='12. The chronological order on these goes 40th anniversary, 120th anni., '09, 100th anni. ('10), '11, '12, '13 (125th), with the following recipes: OBSK = 2013, OESK = 2012, OBSQ = 2011, OBSV = 100th/2010, OESQ = 2009, OBSK = 120th/2008, OESO = 40th/2007. Researching that makes me realize just how dynamic Four Roses is, as I can't find a pattern in terms of yeast or mashbill, in terms of my preferences, other than I really like OBSK and OESO. More research required.

Last night, I had some SB blend (1:1:0.5 of OWA:W12:FRSB), OGD114, ECBP134.2, and finished with ECBP137. I had liked the ECBP137 better than ECBP134.2 in the past but last night preferred the 134.2 just a slight bit better. They are both amazingly tasty though. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

No shit - saw a wild turkey roaming on Old Canton Rd on my way home (smokinjoe - not far from your place, just north of Robinson Rd!), so felt compelled to pour a little WT101 (but decided to pour a lot of WT101 - hello 4 day weekend!)

A WR in the bars finest glassware. Happy hour!

Cool, and thanks for posting the pic Josh. IIRC, I may just have some of those glasses around here somewhere. :slappin:

Bring them to the gazebo Joe, they just may class up the joint.

Taking down some SB blend and listening to the Harley noise on my balcony in downtown Milwaukee. :)

Having a very nice pour of OFBB tonight after dinner out with my wife. It reminds me of some dusty Old Forester BIB (DSP 414) I found one day, but the OFBB seems to be a little sweeter. Both really good pours.

Sipping some Four Roses Single Barrel from a Glencairn with a tiny splash of cool water. This particular bottle came out of barrel no. 51-4P from warehouse HE... whatever all that means!

EWSB 2003...again, because its the only thing I have.

Walking into a store and trying to only pick one bottle(on a limited budget, to boot!) is so difficult when you know that people say good things about SO MANY different bottles.....where oh where do I go from here?
