Russel's Reserve 10 year from prior to 2008 (old label.) Wasn't a fun of current RR10 last time I had it...this one either tastes better or the last bottle was off.

VOB BIB for me as well, waiting on a pizza to come out of the oven. Its tasty, but I'm craving something a little bigger. I do not want to kill of my ECBP tonight, but it may happen.

Ritt BiB, Baby Saz and now onto some bourbon.

1792 over a cube of ice. It's been a while since I've hit on this, and absence makes my heart grow fonder. What a fabulous whiskey. So under appreciated, I feel. It has everything. To start, nice presentation. The bottle looks good. Yeah, I do care about stuff like that. Doesn't influence my opinion of the whiskey in that bottle, but I appreciate efforts in this area. Leather, and dried flowers on the nose. Over the palate is where this shines. Floral, caramel, and a singe of orange peel. Just gorgeous. Sweet oak on finish that just chews on, and on, and on...Low to mid $20's, makes this whiskey an absolute steal.

I need to give that one another try. Been a year or two since I last bought a bottle.

4R OESO from the Delaware store recommended me by michaelturtle1. A few thoughts: this stuff is perilously drinkable at barrel proof (116). Uniquely, a lot of pears on the nose which is pretty cool. Overall this stuff is freaking fantastic. I want to try more E mashbill SB's as I suspect I like them better: still high-ish rye at 20% bur sweeter and heavier. Really nice.

It is a fantastic barrel, the EC 12 they have is also incredibly good

FRSB limited edition 2013 (just obsk but distiller selected?), my first drink out of the bottle, mighty fine stuff drinks much below its barrel proof, feels more like 100 pr to me.

Followed up with a double of weller12 to finish the bottle. Maybe sip on a little ECBP to finish out the night.

Thanks again for the recommendation. I plan to get some more of this and some EC12 while I'm there, if the OESO is any indication of this guy's palate.

Celebrating a 2-0 start to the high school football season for my boys with a generous pour of FR OESQ.

Are the store's initials TW? Or, could you indicate the location and price of this eminently drinkable nectar? It is near to my location and I may want to obtain some of it...

Oh, what am I drinking tonight? ETL, Jameson's 12 yr Reserve and some Barbados dark rum...

good time sampling with friends. Black Maple Hill, 2010 ER17, Abraham Bowman "Last Millenium" for bourbons, along with a 25 yo armagnac, willett 23 rye, 2010 saz, a fascinating welsh whisky, ... the willett 23 was king of the day in my book.

I'm giving Old Heaven Hill 8 year a shot. It's not bad at all. I'll give it a few more goes before I get some tasting notes down, but it's quite drinkable and will excel when I want some uncomplicated bourbon.

A large pour of KCSB last night. Tonight I started with Weller 12 followed by EC 12. Weller victorious!

If you mean the 4R we were discussing it is Greenville Wine & Spirits in Wilmington. If you go there today, try to leave me a bottle:)

For the last week or so I have been really enjoying EWBIB with a few ice cubes. This is a very welcome addition to our Minnesota selections. It is going to be a regular guest in my home.
