stevegoz
Not usually a pumpkin fan,but this Warlock is pretty doable to say the least.Yeah, I liked that one a lot. Hit four different stores this evening hoping to score another but failed. Had to settle for some DFH Bitches Brew, Pipeworks Imperial Hyperdog and FFF Broodoo.... MyOldKyDram
Some weird beer out of OH, Decimation by Triple Digit. It's a dry hopped wheat, wine-style ale. It's like a really jammy, funky, farmhouse ale. Kind of a mess but not all that bad.
WAINWRIGHT
ATG's Bo & Luke, it's a big brooding brawler that really hit all right notes for me.Thanks again Sean!
MyOldKyDram
Awesome! Glad you liked it. So, your pick between this and the Prairie Bomb!?
WAINWRIGHT
Gotta agree with you, though both great Prairie Bomb was the definitive winner for me.Th PB was damn near perfect and the B & L crossed the line just a but with the smokiness or it would have been a push. smokinjoe
SA Hoptimum after a hard 50 minutes on the bike. I just can't find my bearings on hoppy IPA's. Sometimes like tonight, I think that I can't find a better beer. Other times, they gag me. A total crap shoot every time I pop one open.
unclebunk
SA Hoptimum after a hard 50 minutes on the bike. I just can't find my bearings on hoppy IPA's. Sometimes like tonight, I think that I can't find a better beer. Other times, they gag me. A total crap shoot every time I pop one open. Whoa. Slow down, old timer. 50 minutes on the bike? I hope you were peddling to the liquor store! I have the same reaction to SA Hoptimum on occasion but more often than not I really enjoy it. As I head out of "heavy hop" season and more into the scotch ale/porter/stout season, it's nice to finish off with a few quality SA-H's. Enjoy! Yeti
SA HoptimumI grabbed a pack from the pallet next to the checkout line last night. This is one of my favorite beer times of the year. Kroger always keeps old stock Hoptimum next to the new Narwhal right next to the self checkout. Self-checkout usually means no self-control. They've got me pegged.Although, I will say I wasn't super thrilled with the first Narwhal pack I picked up this season. It's probably just indicative of the higher quality stouts I've enjoyed since last years release when I had just started drinking beer and thought Narwhal was the boar's tits.
