jakew
Finally picked up an 03 EWSB since I've not tried it yet. My girlfriend also recently returned from Europe and stocked me up on some foreign (Japanese and Tawainese) bottles. BoyScout
Jake,Please post a tasting report when you try out the Kavalan. I'll probably be in Europe before we see that brand here in the states so I could use some shopping tips.

393foureyedfox
The store she was at also had Blanton's Straight from the Barrel which she asked about because she's seen my regular Blantons bottle but the guy told her it was no good and easily available in the US :/it is strangely NOT available in the US. if i ever go to Europe/Japan, i will make a point to grab one of these. A friend was just in Scotland, but i didnt think to ask him to get me one.
kcgumbohead
Not directly bourbon but a couple 4 packs of Red Brick 20th anniversary. They just arrived at the store 30 min. before me, hadn't even seen the shelf yet. Imperial Stout aged in Buffalo Trace barrels, limited release and I loved last years edition so this time around I got a couple, A good day indeed. A friend was just in Scotland, but i didnt think to ask him to get me one.Not available here but very good I thought. I was lucky enough to be in blind tasting with Blanton's Straight from the barrel. It was the clear favorite and it was in a very nice lineup. Included were EW 23, Jeff Ocean, EC 20, Hillrock Estates Solera Aged, & Jeff 21. So yes I will be picking some up the next time I am over seas. Or maybe I can get lucky and my always traveling brother-in-law will pick one up for me. Either way I must have one.
MyOldKyDram
Yeah, it was the EASY star of that lineup, no doubt.

GaryT
It came and went in a week over a month ago. Supply was very tight. Barrel customers (stores, restaurants) only got a 6pak each. Everyone else got less.

whiskeyagonzo
Yum! If you think of it post on the Q yeast. Don't recall seeing much on it.The 2011 LE SB was Q. I really enjoyed it. I know it's not more of the popular ones but I liked it. If memory serves it was fairly woody but it worked well with some of the fruit notes. Anyone know the age of this one?
