Considered, then passed, on an Angel's Envy Rye. Was very curious, but at $70, I want to see some positive feedback from others before taking this plunge.

The press has been overwhelmingly good on it. Check out the rye whiskey section. Only knock is the $70 price tag.

What Eric said - I haven't bought a bottle myself, but tried it and thought it was pretty great rye, and very unique. If it was $50 - it would be an auto-buy for me.

Passed up on EHT Tornado at $80, wondering if I ought to have grabbed it. Also passed on Kentucky Spirit, I have liked all the WT high end stuff, but want to leave something for my wife to buy me for my birthday :)

The tornado is a must buy if found at retail. A damn good pour.

Agree with E. Best of that Series, IMO. $80 is fair, as well. Sic em Doc!!!!! :D

Passed on the Whistlepig 111 for $111 and JPS 21 for $99. I'm not against spending a bill on a bottle but these both seem a bit overpriced for the reviews.

I would concur. If you've tried either and loved them - more power to you. I've tasted both, and wouldn't give them retail for either (YMMV).

Just a differing opinion, but I found all of the CEHT series to be pretty uninspiring and priced too high.

I passed on Jim Beam 12 and Jim Beam Brandy. 45 a piece.

Differing opinion, love the EH Tornado, grabbed most of mine for 70, but 80s not a stretch to me.

I'm interested in the Brandy Beam and might jump on a bottle out of sheer curiosity. Spanish Brandy is really amazing stuff - very complex and might compliment the Beam really well.

$99 is a great price for JPS 21. Most bottles I see are in the $140 range. I'm not a buyer at that price ($140) but would be at $99.

My sentiments exactly. At $70+ my eye starts wandering to other items on the shelf.

Might be a tight squeeze getting your 30' U-Haul in the GN parking lot Josh

There are plenty of spaces at the far back lot, however. If you head back there, and there is a lone pickup truck parked there, park close to it. I hear the early morning sunrise is quite good from that location.

I'm picturing all you guys arriving in town like watching Cannonball Run, but with more clanging bottle noises emanating from your trunks.

First time I've seen Mellow Corn BIB and JW Corn in the state. Thought about it, but couldn't quite do $15 for it.

Also should've pulled the trigger on some sub-$20 Dickle 12. There'll be another day for it.
